As the ninja were still trying to process what Phil’s dad had said about Harumi, Wu asked “You have told us about my mom but what about my father did he have any part in the ninja’s victory?”
“Yes he has influenced many things as well,” Phil’s dad said
“The first time your father had a huge influence on your world was a very long time ago when Garmadon was training with Master Chen before the Serpentine Wars. He was the one who put the thoughts in Garmadon’s head to change the name on the love letter to his own.”
All the ninja looked wide-eyed at Phil’s dad, Jay asked “Holy Moley, why would he do that?”
“Be quiet Jay so he can tell his story!” Kai exclaimed
“As I was saying, the reason he had to do this is because your father was told by Quanish the elder that the only way for the Overlord to never return is for a specific grandson to be born. You know him as your friend here Lloyd, the rest of Ninjago know him as the green ninja.”
“Wow just wow,” Zane said shocked
“So my brother did nothing wrong?” Wu asked
“Correct he was not under his own control,” Phil’s dad said
“That is a lot to take in,” Cole said
“Yeah, I’m ready to go to bed, how about you guys?” Kai asked
“Yeah gotta get up at dawn,” Lloyd said
“Hmmm, we need to start training back up tomorrow,” Wu said
As all the ninja went to their rooms Phil, Ornery, and their father discussed what to tell the ninja next, but all they knew is they had to tell them the rest of the things the First Spinjitzu Master and his wife did to the history of Ninjago.
Master Wu meditated over a cup of tea while the ninja slept he felt an odd presence, an odd but very powerful presence.
