116 AC

VISENYA sat rather uncomfortably in her little chamber. The ship ride from King's Landing to Driftmark was unpleasant and the rough seas did not help the sickness she had inherited from her father. They were meant to be docking soon and it could not come fast enough.

The guards had informed her that they were beginning to dock now and Visenya stood with great difficulty and the help of Ser Waltyr.

"Are you alright, Princess?"

"You know the seas make me ill, Waltyr. I despise ships," Visenya breathed deeply as her stomach churned. The Targaryens stepped off the ship and into the awaiting litter. Rhaenyra seemed to be the only one that was alright, Viserys and Visenya both marring a sickly palour. Visenya envied her.

They rode onto the castle and upon arrival, they witnessed two boys sparring. One was Laenor, Rhaenyra's soon-to-be husband, and the other was unknown to Visenya. They stopped and bowed once the king was present.

Viserys' new Hand, Lord Strong, spoke, "Where is Lord Corlys? He should be here to receive the King." The door to the castle opened and two people exited. Laena Velaryon walked in front of another member of the house toward the group.

"Welcome to High Tide, Your Grace," Laena stated as she and the man nodded in a bow.

"What is the meaning of this Lady Laena?" asked Lord Strong in anger, "Is this how House Velaryon greets its King?"

Lady Laena stepped forward slightly, "My father has but just returned from his long journey and he has hastened to the Hall of Nine to await Your Grace's arrival."

Visenya glanced at her sister and noticed her looking at Laenor. The younger girl sighed deeply as the King stated, "Let's just get on with it." They followed the Velaryons into the castle and began to walk along the halls.

The two went to enter the room but were stopped by Ser Criston, "I'm sorry."

Visenya shrugged. She was not at all bothered by not being involved in the business of Rhaenyra's marriage. Laena smiled at them both, "Come, cousins. Let us discover what might have been for breakfast."

The girl escorted them off and Visenya gazed upon the tapestries illustrating the seas. She was not particularly interested in such things, but she found them incredibly beautiful. Rhaenyra went off to speak with Laenor and Visenya was left with the girl. Laena gave her a small tour and they roamed the halls of High Tide for almost three-quarters of an hour.
