Chapter 2: Get Well Mission

"Now, I trust in your abilities but, it'd be a good idea if you listened to me and stayed close, okay?" Mael says as him and Y/n walk up to the portal that connects the two realms.

"Okay!" Y/n happily answers before they go through the portal.

(Y/n's Pov.)

I instantly feel dizzy as my feet hit the ground and I subconsciously grab onto Mael's shirt, it makes him chuckle.

"Light-headed?" He pats my head. "You get used to it."

"Mael, what are you doing?" A pink haired goddess woman asks.

"Just showing her around but, what does it matter to you, Nerobasta?" Mael answers.

"Normally you are joined by Ludociel but, I have never seen this little girl before. Are you sure about bringing a child into a war zone?"

"Child?" I spit.

"Hm? Are you not?" She asks.

"No, this is Sariel's little sister, she's somewhere around 900." Mael corrects. "Her name is Y/n."

"Hmph." She looks away.

"Tch." I cross my arms; I don't like her attitude very much.

"Glad to see you two are getting along." Mael mutters before tapping on my back. "C'mon Y/n, let's get going." I nod, and we start walking towards the big door. "Are you excited?"

"Of course, I am!" I smile. But as we reach the door it burst open, startling us.

"Gah!" I jump and hide behind Mael.

"Hm? Oh, Gloxinia, what has gotten you so panicked?" Mael asks, I peak out from behind him.

"I must admit, I'm happy to run into you. If you're not too busy, can you help me out with something?" Gloxinia asks. Whoa, this must be a fairy, his wings are so...

"Depends on what you need help with."

"Several groups of fairies have gone missing over the past week and this last group; their last known location has scorch flames, and blood-" Gloxinia cuts himself off as he shakes his head.

"Demons kidnaping fairies? What for?"

"I don't know, but what I do know is it's really starting to piss me off."

"Calm down, she needs some experience training anyways." Mael sighs. "Lead the way."

"Thank you!" Gloxinia says before quickly turning around and taking off, Mael takes off after him and I follow after both of them.

On the way Gloxinia explains more details before even asking who I am, seemingly not even noticing I'm here. We land on a very bloody ground.

"I know I should be handling this by myself but-" Gloxinia says.

"You are a part of Stigma, are you not? We help each other out during this war, this clearly has something to do with the demon race so, don't worry." Mael interrupts, Gloxinia sighs.

"Do you think maybe that's why my fairies are being targeted?"

"It's very possible." Mael answers, I crouch down near some of the blood, examining it. "Do you have any ideas on where they would've been taken?"
