I cover my mouth coughing, when I move my hand and look into it, there's a decent amount of blood.
"Is that really all you can take? You better hope this war doesn't get any worse, or else it won't be long before you end up dying." Ludociel says as he dusts his hands off.
"Do you say this stuff just to mess with me or because you're a jerk, LuLu?" I ask.
"I'm only speaking the truth. If you take damage this easily in a sparring match, what are you going to do in a death match?" Ludociel sighs.
"Hm..." I watch the blood on my hand as it moves around in strange patterns. "Do you really think I'm that weak?"
"Hm? In all honesty, I see potential in you, but as of now, to answer your question. Yes, I do think you're this weak."
"...Potential..." I sigh. "I wish I thought the same." Ludociel puts his hand underneath mine as he looks at the strange patterns of blood that I'm so interested in.
"How strange. When was the first time this happened?" Ludociel asks.
"When Meal and Gloxinia took me with them. It was after that demon had hurt me so badly, I was watching the blood crawl up my arm instead of drip down my wrist." I answer. "It also happened when I left on my own. It spread across the ground strangely."
"I see. I believe I understand. Mael had mentioned while on that mission you had touched blood left by injured fairies and was able to locate them because of it." Ludociel says.
"Yeah, I touched it and painful images popped into my head. It was scary at first." I explain.
"Then this is what we're going to work on today. Focus on it."
"Focus on what?"
"The blood in your hand." Ludociel dust his hands off again. "Picture it wrapping around your wrist, maybe engulfing your hand."
"That's kind of gross."
"It's only blood. You will see plenty of it in the upcoming wars."
"Ugh." I sigh as I shake my head. "Alright." I take a deep breath and focus. "Wrap around my hand..." I mumble.
"Talking isn't focusing." Ludociel scolds.
"Tch." I sigh. Focus, blood, kind of gross. I close my eyes and shake my head.
"Well done, so my theory was correct after all." Ludociel says.
"Huh?" I look up to him.
"A very strange power but, I suppose it can be useful with training." Ludociel says, I look back at my hand to see it completely covered in a thin layer of blood.
"Whoa. I did that?" I ask, resulting in Ludociel sighing.
"I'd like to test this power out tomorrow."
"Don't you have a mission tomorrow?" I ask.
"Indeed. I would like you to come with me, it'd be informative to see you in a true battle scenario. Useful for future training." Ludociel explains.
"Really!?" I say excitedly.
"Yes, don't make me regret this. Now let us continue." Ludociel says.
"Right!"

I wake up excited, I quickly leave the house before my brother even gets up. Ludociel told me to get there early, so if he's late then-
