I was running, I had received the distress signal only a few minutes ago.

flashback

3rd person pov

Jay along with the rest of the ninja were sitting at the table having dinner. kai was having a very heated argument with Cole about if pineapple belongs on pizza.

cole - I'm telling you pineapple belongs on pizza! why won't you listen to me !?

Kai - the only way I'm listening to you is if agree that pineapple and pizza do not go together at all!

cole - you take that back!

kai - oh yeah, make me.

coles face then flushed red before shouting.

cole - its people like you suck all the fun out of life!

kai - oh so that's what you think well I'll show you having fun alright!

before they knew it Cole and Kai were both on the floor punching and kicking each other, it was only as they started to get violent Zane separated them. jay just chuckled as Kai sat back in his chair looking grumpy. cole then sat down next to Jay with a smug look on his face. it was just as Jay picked up his toast and was about to take a bite he felt the bracelet on his arm start to vibrate. jay then looked at it and saw that it was now blinking red which could only mean one thing.

jay - umm I'll be right back.

without another word, Jay ran to the control room and began to track the place of the distress signal. his heart then dropped when he saw that it was coming from the junkyard. he didn't even notice as Cole walked in.

cole - hey jay, you ok? you kinda just ran out of there.

jay - I need to go!

jay then grabbed his nunchucks and ran out the door of the bounty. cole then looked at the screen and saw a blinking red dot and immediately realized why Jay had just run out without warning. thinking fast Cole grabbed his synth and ran after Jay.

jay pov

I ran faster than I ever had in my whole life, silently praying that I wasn't too late and that my parents were safe. it didn't take long for me to get to the junkyard but it was just as I was about to enter I saw smoke.I then started to run in the direction of the smoke fearing the worst. i then turned a corner and my heart dropped. instead of the gray trailer and pies of junk and tools, there was nothing but a burned heap of ash and rubble. there was a note next to it Jay picked it up it only had 4 words.
