Fan had been a contestant on 'Inanimate Insanity' for as long as anyone could remember. He was good friends with Test Tube and Lightbulb. Both of them were particularly close to him, but it was mostly Test Tube who was his favorite.
One day, feeling daring, Fan asked Test Tube if she wanted to be his girlfriend. To everyone's surprise, she agreed. Fan was overjoyed.
Lightbulb, jealous of the attention Fan was paying to Test Tube, asked if she could also be his girlfriend. Fan was a bit shocked, but he agreed.
The two of them quickly got into a heated argument about who should have Fan's attention, and who should back off. Test Tube declared that it was her turn to have his affection. But Lightbulb said that there was no such thing as a turn system, so how could she claim that?
Fan stepped in. He put an end to their argument by suggesting that Lightbulb have Monday, Sunday, and Thursday; Test Tube have Tuesday, Saturday, and Friday; and they could all have fun together on Wednesday.
The three of them laughed and hugged. To commemorate their new arrangement, they each gave him rings. Lightbulb asked if he would like to be Fan Bulb, while Test Tube offered if he would want to be Fan Tube. Fan smiled and said yes
