Context - Rose Gossard was just a girl from the Seattle sence, but she caught Jeff's eye.

1991
---- Girls Name - Rose Gossard

ROSE SAT IN A ROOM BACKSTAGE, annoyed with the interview the MTV crew swore she needed to do.

"Why don't you scream out at concerts at the frontman? Do you find them unattrative?"

Rose rolled her eyes at the stupid question. Of course not, I'm just not stupid, she thought.

"A few are, but doesn't mean that's all I care about. I mean, take Chris cornell, for example, he has a wife, Susan, you know. Just imagine hearing, 'I wanna fuck you!' From backstage? A little werid and embarrassing, really."

Pearl jam sat watching the whole interview go down. They found it funny.

Jeff seemed to be in a daze, admiring Rose from a distance.

"But isn't it unnecessary for chris cornell to have no shirt on?"

"If you're saying he's asking for it, he's not. That's just his thing. Like Eddie likes to climb around on stage- and so on, different front men have their things, and that just how it is. Sure, it's unnecessary, but it keeps them happy leave it. They don't care either way."

"To stay on topic, you've never yelled a fraise at a front man before?"

"Jeez," Rose rubbed her face, "I've been ask this millions of fucking times, who cares? It's embarrassing frankly to yell out yes. It's not even just Frontman. I've heard them yell my brothers name too, and it's just weird."

"I still find this interview werid."

"Well, the people just wanna know why you don't drool over your brothers band members or friends."

"Who said I didn't?" Rose snickered.

"Well- I mean-"

"No, yea, I get what you mean. It's stupid. Again, I could have a crush on Jeff, and nobody would know because I'm not stupid and flawking all over him."

Jeff popped on at his name, raising an eye row.

To be fair, Rose did find Jeff funny and charming, but she didn't show it because, again, she didn't want to be embarrassing.

"So, you've never been embarrassed?"

"My god!" Rose groaned, "you're putting words in my mouth that I never said or implied."

"I've been embarrassed, many times, yes, but I try not to do it now."

"Moving on," the interviewer cleared their throat, "a viewer asked why you're so.. stuck up."

"I don't like stupid people- next."

Stone kept in a laugh. He knew his 'no bullshit taken' sister would be smart-assing the interviewer.

"Okay, well, they asked why you are managing your brothers band, and if you are in a relationship."

"Why so fucking nosy, jeez," rose snarled, "im managing them because I know them? Easy to work with. I don't know? The fuck."

"The 2nd one?"

"I'm not some celebrity, my business isn't needed to be put out in the fucking world, shit."

Rose was starting to get annoyed, and the interviewer must of sensed it, because she cut the interview short, and left quickly.

"Way to be an asshole," Stone laughed.

"Don't worry, I'll wake up tomorrow with an article in the magazine stating, 'Rose Gossard, a bitch?'"

"No, it would probably be like, 'Rose Gossard, calling Chris Cornells Catcallers embarrassing and werid.'" Jeff laughed.

"Oo! Good one!" Rose smiled, taking a cigarette from her pocket.

"I'm in need of a smoke break, I'll be out back."

She sat, using the cancer stick to calm her down, which unfortunately worked.

She heard the back door open, and she turned her head to see Jeff.

"Mind if I join you?"

She shrugged, "gladly."

"I like what you did back there. It was funny."

She smiled, "I try to be, but seriously, why did they have to interview me?"

"You're a girl, that's why."

"So true, it's stupid, really."

"Isn't everything stupid to you, wise girl?"

"Is everything not stupid, wise guy?" Valerie copied Jeff.

"Right on," he laughed, lighting a cigarette, "you busy tomorrow?"

"No, shouldn't be, why?"

"Wanna go around town? Hang out?"

"Sure, a sucky way of trying to go on a date with me, but I couldn't care less."

"Great, I'll be by at 4."

"Great, don't be late," Rose winked as she kissed Jeff's cheek, leaving him in a hase.

He was wipped, and that's for sure.
