"Your talent is not welcomed here"
"-riko....Mariko!"
The small black-haired girl shot up from her comfy bed, panting. Running a shaking hand through her hair, she calmed herself down, reminding her that it was just a bad dream. A bad memory to be precise. She could hear her mom knocking on her door in a hurry and then she just remembered that it its her first day in Nekoma. She hastily ran to the bathroom to take a quick bath and she moved as fast as she could and greeted her family downstairs, eating breakfast.
"Good morning Mom, Dad, Yuri" She squeezed her parents and gave her 8-year-old brother, a loving squeeze. "Aren't you going to eat?" Her mom asked her worriedly, handing her the lunch box she prepared.
"Nah I'll eat just a melon pan on the way there, I'll be going now, luv u!" She waved her hand cutely, causing doting smiles from her family who waved back. " Itterasai!"
She took her bike and was about to drive to her school when her mother came to remind her of something. " Don't forget to visit your grandfather, Okay? He's been asking how you're doing and he really misses you and Yuri." Her mother reminded her. At the mention of her grandfather, Mariko visibly brighten. " Yeah! I'll visit Ojii-chan! He's part of the volleyball club right?"
"Yes, he'll be really happy if he sees you again." Her mother chuckled knowing how much Mariko is spoiled by her grandpa and if Yuri finds out that his big sis will be visiting his also favorite grandpa, he might throw a tantrum.
"Ok!" She then went on her way. Mariko and her family had just moved to Tokyo from Hyogo. In the past when she was 5 years old, they were staying in Miyagi but due to her dad's job, they had to move to Hyogo and Mariko was only 7 years old at that time. When a holiday or special occasion occurs, they would always visit Tokyo to celebrate it and that is how Mariko and Yuri became so attached to their grandpa. He was the very man who introduced them to Volleyball.
She tied her bike at the huge parking lot and ran towards the building to the faculty room in a hurry. Fixing her oversized jacket and skirt which was too short for Mariko's comfort. "S-Sorry for the intrusion b-but Im F-Fujishiro Mariko a-and I'm a new student here" She shyly entered the room filled with teachers. She was never a people person, nor was she talkative unless they are someone she is comfortable with. That's why she isn't really confident that she'll get to meet new friends here.
Her friends in Hyogo are only from the boy's volleyball team, two troublesome twins and a lazy boy. She became friends with the naturally chaotic twins and it only became natural that she became friends with the lazy one too. But other than them, she really doesn't have anyone else to call friends. " Ah! If I remember you're a 2nd year right?" A teacher asked and approached her making her look down.
"H-Hai!" She exclaimed. The female teacher chuckled at her shyness and found her really cute especially her height, making her curious. "You're unusually small, what's your height, Fujishiro-san?" The girl looked at her in shock and embarrassment, pulling her bangs down, even more, to cover her already hidden eyes behind her glasses.
"I'm.....4 feet and 9 inch tall. Maam" With that an arrow shot the female teacher. Mariko is a naturally cute girl even if she doesn't know that, that's why she always has her glasses and jacket on which was forced on her by her parents since they are fully aware of her destructive cuteness.
"Uggh, a-anyway! I'm your homeroom teacher! And I'm on my way to class as of the moment, you came just in time. " The female teacher smiled, blissfully. You don't get to encounter a cute high schooler like Mariko in a flock of trouble-making students. "You can call me Raiko-sensei. Now why don't we head to class? Since it's almost time for classes. "
