Ryouya was filling bottles when that memory, those words pass her mind once again. It's been 3 years, so why is she remembering these things again? Oh well.
She hopped up with the bottles on a box and she jogged towards the gym with a carefree smile on her face, humming a cheerful tone on the way as well. She was a third-year at Karasuno High and one of the managers of the one and only boys' volleyball club. The team is having a short jogging exercise down the streets of Miyagi near their school, so she wanted to make sure that the bottles are filled up and ready when they arrive.
Once she arrived, she immediately went to her co-manager's side, Shimizu Kiyoko. Both of them have been friends since 1st year high school and Ryouya was the one who helped Daichi in recruiting Kiyoko. They were opposites as many would define their friendship. Kiyoko was calm and quiet while Ryouya was energetic and talkative. Nonetheless, they get along so well. "Kiyoko-chan! Here are the bottles!"
The black-haired megane manager smiled at her and helped her place it down next to the bench where the towels are placed. Ryouya immediately sprinted towards their coach and teacher once they entered the gym. "So? How's everyone?" She asked, her brown eyes wide in never-ending excitement.
But Ukai sighed, while Takeda smiled nervously making Ryouya tilt her head with a look that screams, "What's the problem?"
As if on cue, Nishinoya and Tanaka came barging into the gym screaming. "Ryouya-neesan! Shouyou/Hinata got lost!" And that is when her smile turned into a straight line. She mechanically turned her head to Ukai who scratched his head nervously. Asahi and Daichi also entered the gym, even expecting her to give them 'The dark look'.
You see, Kizunari Ryouya, the third-year sunshine of Karasuno High is the cousin of none other than the first-year Sunshine, Hinata Shouyou. She is known to be overly protective of Hinata yet also strict, knowing how much of a troublemaker her cousin is.
"D-Dont worry, Kizunari! Suga already went to get him, I'm sure he didn't go that far. " Daichi reassured him.
Knowing it was Suga who fetched Hinata, the brunette was set at ease. Because, besides Kiyoko, Sugawara is also her closest friend. Both of them are really caring especially to their juniors so they got along really well. Ryouya sighed and bowed to the third years and the adults," I'm really sorry for the trouble Shou caused" she said in shame.
"Ah no! You shouldn't bow Kizunari! It's fine!" Asahi frantically stated, wailing his hands all around. The 2nd year duo also did the same for their nee-san. But Ryouya is set on apologizing. "But if I hadn't educated him thoroughly then this wouldn't be bothering anyone at all! I bet he got so caught up with competing with Kage-kun that he didn't realize where he is going anymore! I'm really sorry!"
Now that was accurate.
"It's really fine Kizunari. Hinata is also our junior, so it's also our duty to take care of him. "
Odd as it may seem, but Ryouya felt that it was her fault that Hinata is so troublesome and childish. Since she always spoil him when they were younger, that she might've taken away his sense of awareness and responsibility for other things except for volleyball. Ryouya is an overly responsible person, even for the things that should be out of her control, she still blames herself. It's a very contradicting trait of her cheerful and outgoing personality.
"Anyway! I'll get your bottles and towels!" She then ran to where Kiyoko is.
Once Hinata came back, he had an earful of Ryouya's lectures. Of course, Kageyama was no exception because he could've gotten lost like Hinata if he were too into their small competition. "You're too soft on them Senpai."
"Oh! Tsukkun! Yama-kun!" Ryouya smiled brightly once they arrived. Truly, Ryouya's biggest weakness are her kouhais.
