"Alright, 2 down 3 to go." Calum says as he takes the headphones off his head and sets them around his neck.

"Why don't you guys take a little break, you've been going at this for an hour, yeah?" Ash says. With a big sigh I take my headset off and leave the recording box. I go and lay on the couch that was against the wall in front of the recording box.

"This is more stressful than I thought." I said, rubbing my temples with my eyes squeezed shut, the familiar feeling of unease settling in my stomach.

"It gets easier as you go Em, I promise." Michael says, adding a small giggle at the end.

"I hope you guys realize that I'm not gonna' become instantly famous like you did. I'm not gonna spot some opening act tour with a internationally famous pop band." I say, taking a long, needed drink from my water bottle.

"Maybe not instantly," Luke says sitting on the floor next to me, rubbing my arm, "but we want to help you get there. Em you ha-"

"I know, I know, 'I have an amazing talent that shouldn't be wasted.'" I said mocking Luke. All the other boys giggled and Luke lightly smacked my arm.

"Alright Miss. Sassy Pants, maybe someone needs some food to get over that hanger." Luke says in a teasing voice.

"Yes please! I'm dying over here!" I say as I dramatically fling my head back and throw my arm over my face, my other hand clenching my stomach.

"Alright sassy, let's go get some food. C'mon boys," Luke says, pulling my arm to yank me up off the couch.

In the car, Luke and I were on our way to McDonald's. We had decided we were just going to get a massive load of hamburgers and fries to bring back to everyone, and hey, I'm not complaining.

"So do you wanna listen to one of your songs" Luke asks as he turns the radio down.

"Hell no!" I say as I give him a bewildered look.

"But why not? What if you don't like how it sounds, or there's a mistake?"

"That's why I have you boys. If it sounds bad or there's a mistake you can tell me and then we'll fix it."

"But Em, you have to give it a 'you' touch. You have to make it unique."

"But I don't know what kind of music I want to make! Or how I want it to sound or be like. I don't know any of this!" I say freaking out a little bit on the inside, anxiety forming like a small black hole in the pit of my stomach.

"Emma calm down," he says, grabbing one of my hands and holding it tightly, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to freak you out. It will be okay. All I was trying to say is when we get done recording all this I want you to go and it down by yourself where it's quite, like your study or something, yeah? And just listen. Write down what about the songs you like and don't like, and then we can fix it. It's not that hard, I promise." I calm down a little bit, but the thought of listening to myself sing over and over again is still a little unsettling.

"Alright," I say, almost a sigh, taking a deep breath, "I can do that."

Three hours and 5 cheeseburgers later, we had finally finished recording. All the other boys and the band went home. That left Luke and I sitting upstairs on the living room couch.

"I'm proud of ya Em," he says, taking my hand in his, gently kissing the back, his cool lip ring pressing into the back of my hand.

"I didn't like that," I mumble, chuckling at the end, "it was too stressful."

"Well, why don't I make dinner tonight and you just sit and relax yeah?" Luke says as he begins to get off the couch before kissing the top of my head and going into the kitchen.

"There wasn't much on tv so I pull my phone out of my pocket and begin to scroll through Twitter. Just as I had suspected, I had quite a few people asking about my new "singing career". Singing career, as if. My music isn't going to go anywhere. As much as Luke and the boys wanted me to become as big as they are, I don't it will happen like they want it to. They're acting as if a soon as I drop this album I'll gain a million fans and have all sorts of tour dates booked when it took them four years to spot their first tour.

Suddenly, my cat scared the living daylight snout of me by jumping up into my lap like its no body's business.

"Damn cat." I mumble before putting my phone down to pet it. As soon as I put my phone down it buzzes, and then again, signaling I have 2 new texts. I push the cat off of my lap and pick my phone back up, seeing the two texts from a blocked number.
