Y/N grew up in Mystical Falls, from being born there to her first steps, and first heartbreak. She knew about supernatural life but had no intention of becoming a part of that world. Now at the age of 20, she had decided that she would move into her own apartment. Not too far from her childhood home.

She had been living in her own space for about 3 months when an unknown creature started attacking citizens. Her father had asked her to take her classes from home and not to go outside, her mother had agreed with her father when she had wanted to protest but accepted that she is her parent's only child and understood that they wanted what was best for her. She changed her classes to online and continued her studies that way.

Now the supernatural world thought they'd just drag her in. At 3 am there was a knock on her door, which she had ignored, I mean who wouldn't? But as whoever knocked on the door never once ceased she stood up and walked towards her front door opening it to find a person covered in blood. "Mind if I come in, Love?" The person asked. Y/N looked him up and down then shook her head. "Yeah, no thanks. I just got a new carpet last week so I'd appreciate it if you get cleaned before anything. Those kinds of stains never come out." She said one hand on her hip and the other pointing at the stranger.

He let out a chuckle. "That is what you are worried about, Love? After all, I could be the murderer roaming in town." He said as he leaned a bit on her door. "Well, you are one of them. If you weren't you'd be able to walk right in. So that means you must be a vampire." Y/N said as if it was the most obvious thing on the planet while crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes at the man. "I am the Hybrid, Love. Not just some vampire, an Original." He said looking surprised at the attitude she gave him. "Niklaus Mikealson? That's you? You're hot, to be honest. No one's ever mentioned that." She said leaning forwards to get a better view of the Hybrid. "Why thank you. Now am I allowed to enter?" "Nope." She said closing the door and walking back to her room.

For the next week, Y/N found gifts on her front porch. Every morning it was something different, Monday it was a bouquet of blue flowers. She threw them in the bin. Tuesday she found chocolates in the shape of tiny hearts, they had joined the flowers. Wednesday her favourite drink stood there, it did not join the flowers and chocolates. Thursday she found a note along with a pudding of some sort, 'Love, you are something else.' She rolled her eyes, taking the goods to her kitchen. Today, Friday, she heard meowing coming from outside. Once she opened the door she saw a kitten in a little bassinet, pawing at the side. "I am not even allowed to have any pets." She mumbled and closed the door only to open it and take the kitten.

Y/N had gone to the vet to check the kitten and got her a collar with Y/N's choice of name engraved on the golden piece of plate. She then went to the shops to buy some food and get her kitten some snacks and things to keep her busy. As she was reaching to the top of the shelf a hand was placed above hers and took the box she was reaching for. Annoyed she turned around to find the hybrid that had woken her up. He handed her the box which she took glaring at him while placing it into the cart. "A 'thank you would be nice." He said following after the girl, who sighed petting the kitten that was napping in her purse. "I see you found the kitten," Klaus said smirking when she slapped his hand away when he went to pet her. "Yes. I have thank you." She said before giving him a tight and sarcastic smile.
