Chapter Sixty Eight

What if.....Lucas was a wanted criminal and he always went to Max's apartment for a safe house when he needed to lay low? (Smut)

Max yawns as she pulls into the gated apartment community, her going to park in front of the apartments with the stairs there as well. She looks at the clock in her car, seeing that it is almost midnight. She yawns once again, her having to do another double shift, three double shifts in the row for her job that way she can just have some extra cushion for a relaxing weekend.

She grabs her bag before going to leave out of the car, pressing the button on her key fob to lock the doors, her going to make her way up the flight of stairs since she is on the fifth row of apartments. She puts her key in the multiple locks she has gotten before opening her door, going to close her door behind her.

Max slowly puts her keys and purse down on the table while locking all locks of the door while looking around the dark apartment, going to turn the front room light on. She slowly goes in her bag and grabs her taser, her taking a little breath while putting both of her hands on the taser, her turning it on making the electrical bolts come to life, her beginning to slowly walk through the house.

She never had to do this until a few weeks ago when a convicted wanted criminal suddenly came inside of her house to hide out. Max doesn't even know how he even got in her apartment without notice. Max knew him as soon as she saw him, police has been looking for Lucas for years because he always robs big banks but then somehow always gets away with it unnoticed. His face was never caught on TV but Max connected his body language to the videos of the robberies she saw on TV and connected the dots, plus he had a gun to her to silence her.

Since then it was nothing she was able to do, she didn't want to get killed out of being reckless. She could call the cops and say that Lucas had stayed here a couple of times to hide out but there would be no proof, which would result in him finding out and her potentially getting killed and she doesn't want that.

So she just tells herself one of these days she will just tase him or find a way to bring him down then from there call the cops that way he can be arrested. She knows it will be hard, he always takes away her phone and breaks her landlines whenever he is here, resulting in Max having to buy new ones every time. She screws her windows shut now, has more locks on her doors and even has a security system now.

"Hello?" Max questions, her bedroom being the last place to look. She checks under her bed and the bathroom, not seeing anyone.

Max breaths out in relief, her turning her taser off. It is honestly a dangerous game. When it comes to Lucas he doesn't really kill anyone, at least he doesn't in his jobs and that is what the news reports say, if he does shoot it is only in the knee or leg but at the same time Max doesn't want to test him either, because she doesn't want her life taken away from her, she has worked to hard to get the independent life she has and even now she has to work hard to provide for herself.

Max goes to strip down, her going to shower. She shaves and uses all of her essentials and other products, her just taking a everything shower since the last few days have been double shifts. She tells herself she finally gets to relax for the weekend, just sitting laying around and ordering takeout and binge watching some TV show she knows she'll find by surfing through streaming apps.

After she is done she dries off and moisturizes, leaving her damp hair down and her going to put on a oversized white shirt that comes to her mid thigh, not worrying about a bra or underwear. She brushes her teeth and washes her face with her skincare products before she makes her way back to her room, her going to plop down on the bed and grab the remote.
