minho laid wrapped in jisung's arms, the younger having calmed him down from his sobs just minutes prior. "you doing okay, baby?" minho shook his head into jisung's neck and the latter rubbed his back.
"want to tell me why?"
minho shook his head again, not wanting his feelings for jisung to be said out loud yet. jisung didn't like him. he never would. and he had to accept his unrequited love.
"minho, darling." jisung brought minho out of his arms so he faced him as they laid side by side. "i'm your boyfriend, you can talk to me." minho's lips trembled, tears sliding down his face.
"but you're not, ji. you're not." minho sat up, as jisung furrowed his eyebrows. "do you want to end this? is that it?" jisung sat up next to him.
minho's eyes widened. that was the last thing he wanted. "no. it's just you treat me like a real boyfriend. it's hurting me, jisung." the younger tilted his head and minho scoffed. "forget it, ji."
he got off the bed, slinging his bag over his shoulder and leaving a confused jisung behind in his dorm room.
------
felix furrowed his eyebrows as he got a call from jisung. it wasn't completely out of the ordinary, but it was 3 in the morning. "hello? ji?"
"hey, can i talk to minho? he's not answering me."
felix blinked, glancing in minho's empty room. "he's not here. sorry. i thought he was spending the night at yours?"
jisung sighed. "he just left on me. i don't really know what happened. he said our relationship is hurting him? i don't know, lix."
felix had to set his phone down and slap his face before picking up again. "ji. i love you, okay? but you're so stupid."
"what? i still don't get what i did."
"it's not something you did, ji. it's what you didn't do." felix exhaled slowly, sitting criss cross on his bed. "look, think about it. he's hurt about the relationship. why is he hurt? did he say?"
"he said that i was treating him too much like a real- oh."
felix rolled his eyes. "go get him. he's at the library." he checked minho's location and hung up, grumbling to himself. "jocks are such idiots. minho could do better."
-
jisung opened the doors to the library and searched for minho. he found him in the back corner, alone, and walked over to him. minho took off his headphones, glancing up at jisung.
"hey, can i sit?"
minho nodded, moving his bag off the chair onto the floor as jisung sat down. "um, did you need something?" jisung sighed, holding minho's hand in his own. "i'm really sorry, minho."
"what? about what?"
"us." jisung pursed his lips. "i shouldn't have dragged you into my shit, and i'm sorry. i'm calling it off." minho's heart dropped. they couldn't call it off. this would break minho's heart.
"we don't need to, ji-"
"it's hurting you, minho. you said it yourself and i don't want to hu-"
minho slapped a hand over jisung's mouth. "it's hurting me because i fucking love you, jisung. okay? you're treating me like a real lover. it hurts me because none of it's real." he took his hand off jisung's lips and stood up.
"just go back to not knowing i existed. it was so much fucking easier."
----
minho opened the dorm door, closing it behind him and sliding down it. "minho?" felix came over as soon as minho broke down in body shaking sobs. he rushed over, sitting next to him and laying minho's head on his shoulder as he rubbed his arm.
"what happened, min? what'd he do?"
"i- i t- told him, lix- i said that i- i l-loved him-" minho sobbed harder as felix's eyes widened. "oh, honey."
"he c-called it off- we're done." minho cried into felix's shoulder all night. hours and hours of minho's heart breaking sobs coming from his own broken heart. felix didn't know what to do.
;
he had finally gotten minho to sleep when there was a knock on the door. he kissed minho's head before closing his door and going to open the front entrance. he saw jisung and chan, instantly grimacing.
"hi, chan." he turned to jisung. "han. what do you two want?" chan really didn't want to be apart of this. his mission was to get felix out so jisung could talk to minho. but he wasn't sure if felix would even let jisung see minho.
"i need to see minho."
felix chuckled. "you think i'll let you see him? he came in here crying his eyes out, jisung. you broke his heart. you know that? i told you that if you ever hurt him, i'd never let you see him again. and i'm fucking sticking to it."
as he was closing the door, jisung wedged his foot in. he winced as felix tried pushing the door closed, but then the latter rolled his eyes. "please, lix. i want to fix it."
"you'll only make it worse, ji. what are you going to do? apologize?" felix scoffed as jisung nodded. "okay, then what? you think everything will be fine because that's what you're used to?"
jisung sighed, practically begging. "please, lix. i love him." felix's eyes widened, jaw dropping. "you can't just do that, jisung. you can't make up your fucking mind about your feelings in one night. it's not fair to minho."
as jisung was about to speak, felix started again. "he's not just someone you can go to when you're bored, jisung! he's a real person, with feelings! that you hurt. i'm sorry, ji. minho comes first for me."
a small sleepy voice was heard and they all looked to see minho rubbing his eyes. "lixie?" felix's eyes softened, worried for the older who accustomed to a fever from stressing out so much.
"hey, honey. you should be resting."
minho walked over, cuddling into felix's arms. "my head hurts." felix nodded, rubbing his back."i know, min. you have a fever, baby."
"he has a fever? how-"
"because of crying, ji. he stressed himself out too much." felix glared at him and minho pulled himself out of felix's hug to eye jisung.
"jisungie, hi." minho's soft whisper broke jisung's heart even more. minho had a sleepy smile on his face, falling into jisung's embrace.
