RWBY: Crisis Of The Dark Multiverse

Chapter Two - A Strange Attack

A young hero, an exalted heiress, a troubled rogue, and a party girl- These are the four members of RWBY, a team brought together and trained for the sole purpose of combating the rampant evils that plague the fantastic world of Remnant. When they began their journey at Beacon Academy, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long sought to become Huntresses. One day, Team RWBY were sent on a mission to investigate the security network in the Emerald Forest when it went down. As Team RWBY walked through the Emerald Forest, they spoke to one another.

Ruby: So what do you think happened?

Weiss: Grimm most likely. 

Yang: Then this mission should be a piece of cake.

Blake: Don't get too cocky, Yang. We still don't know exactly what we may be dealing with.

Team RWBY soon approached the cave where the security control center was set up in. When they entered the cave, they eventually find the command center. The command center showed signs of damage. 

Yang: Someone really did a number on this thing....

Suddenly, roaring was heard. Immediately, Team RWBY readied their weapons. A horde of Grimm Beowolves began approaching them.

Blake: Grimm inbound! 

With that, Team RWBY battled against the Grimm. Ruby coordinated her team in battling the Grimm. At first, the battle went well for Team RWBY. But as the battle dragged on, more Grimm began flooding in. 

Yang: These Grimm don't let up!

Ruby: We won't let them stop us! 

Ruby sweeps the area with Crescent Rose, taking out a group of Grimm. Weiss follows through by using her Glyph Semblance to fire several projectiles at another group of Grimm. Blake and Yang launch their Bumblebee team attack with Yang latching on to one end of Blake's Gambol Shroud. Blake then swings Yang to create momentum for Yang's punch whilst firing Ember Celica, taking out several Grimm. But as the remaining Grimm were about to attack, they suddenly halted their attack. Team RWBY were confused as the Grimm suddenly stopped without reason. 

Weiss: They...they stopped....

Blake: Something's wrong....

As Team RWBY processed what was going on, a lone figure was seen approaching them. The Grimm made no attempt to attack the figure as they dragged what appeared to be a scythe on the ground. When they stepped out of the shadows, the Grimm Ruby appeared before Team RWBY, but her hood concealed her identity. She glanced over to Team RWBY before turning to one of the Grimm, petting it. 

Grimm Ruby: Have you ever wondered why the Grimm do what they do? When you think about it, the Grimm are animals. They have no sense of right and wrong. They act on instinct. Could they be blamed if they happen to be controlled by a higher power?

Ruby: Who...who are you? 

Grimm Ruby looked back at Team RWBY with an almost childlike smile before brandishing her Crescent Rose. Upon seeing her weapon, Ruby became curious. 

Ruby: Nice scythe. 

Grimm Ruby said nothing as she used her Petal Burst to charge at Team RWBY. Grimm RWBY suddenly appeared behind Team RWBY and attacked them. Team RWBY quickly found themselves overwhelmed as Grimm RWBY attacked them with relentless ferocity. Weiss attempts to summon a Glyph, but Grimm Ruby knocks Weiss off her balance. Blake then goes for an overhead strike, but Grimm Ruby kicks her into Yang who was about to charge at her. 

Weiss: This...this is impossible! It's like she knows our move before we make them!

Grimm Ruby: Always perceptive, Weiss. 

When Grimm Ruby goes for an overhead strike on Weiss, Ruby managed to block the strike with Crescent Rose. As the two locked weapons, Ruby was in total shock to see the face of her attack. 

Ruby: You...you're me....

Grimm Ruby: Thus Kindly I Scatter....the Last Rose of Summer!

As Grimm Ruby said this, she commanded the Grimm to attack. Grimm RWBY took the opportunity to kick Ruby away. 

Grimm Ruby: All roads lead to darkness.....you'll find out soon enough....

With those chilling words, Grimm Ruby uses her Petal Burst Semblance to retreat. Team RWBY then proceeded to take out the rest of the Grimm. But as they did so, they noticed Ruby in a state of shock. 

Yang: What's wrong, Rubes? 

Ruby: That....that girl....was me.....

Yang: W..what? Are...are you sure? 

Weiss: That...that can't be possible. 

Ruby: She...she had my face. I...I don't know how, but...that girl...is me....

That answer sent chill down the rest of Team RWBY's spines. It soon became clear that Grimm Ruby was unlike anything they had ever face. Meanwhile in a desolate part of the Emerald Forest, Ruby cuts her hand. She then uses her Grimm blood to form a ritual symbol. Grimm Ruby then uses her corrupted Silver Eyes to activate the symbol. The symbol glows as three doorways opened. From the doorways emerged a version of Weiss wearing an Atlas Military Uniform with the SDC emblem, a version of Blake wearing the uniform of the White Fang and a version of Yang wearing tattered clothing. 

Grimm Ruby: Commander Weiss Schnee of Remnant -15. Supreme Leader Blake Belladonna of Remnant -19. Sun Dragon Yang Xiao Long of Remnant -28.

As the darker versions of the rest of Team RWBY looked around their new surroundings in confusion, the Grimm Ruby simply smiled a sinister smile as she succeeded in bringing others from across the Dark Multiverse to begin the next stage of her plan to plunge the Remnant into total chaos of the Dark Multiverse. And she was just getting started.
