"And I told him I was done but he doesn't get it di di" Faye vented to me of course about sha
"Faye fuck that man like deadass he's a bum" I said to her wiping the sweat off my forehead
We decided to get up early and head to the gym for a little bit
"But it's hard Nandi he's been there through everything" she explained "Faye your not trying to convince me your trying to convince yourself that" I grabbed my bottle of water and adjusted my gym shorts
"You don't understand" Faye shook her head and followed me out the gym
"And I don't want to like what? Fuck that man" I laughed tying my hair up into a ponytail
"Yea yea whatever Nandi I'll see you later" she huffed and walked the opposite way
I hated when Faye got like that over that man he's no good and she deserves so much better
I made my way home walking and I saw jaryan standing with a group of guys
I crossed the street "JARYAN!" I yelled smiling making all of them look at me I nervously walked slowly to meet him half way
"Yoo di di wasgud" he smiled
"Aww you look so cute" I laughed and looked at his small frame
He had a black and grey tech on with clean black forces on "nah chill on me di" he smiled hard
"Come meet my people's " he grabbed my hand and pulled me to the group
"Yo ya this the girl that helped me out that night" he explained still holding my hand "hi I'm Nandi" I waved at everyone
"We met already I'm Kay this dougie, setty, cblu, and mhady" Kay looked at me
"Oh I remember you Kay" he nodded as we kept the eye contact. I chatted with everyone for a couple minutes before stepping off "well I'll see ya" I said as I looked at jaryan
I bent down to jaryans level "make sure you stay safe out here okay?" He nodded and with that I walked away

4 months later
A couple months had went by and everything was going well for me, work was nice, Faye finally left sha , even me and jaryan got close
He often came and visited me, he was like my little brother
We'd watch movies , get food , play games just talk sometimes I enjoyed being there for him
I could tell it helped him a lot
Right now I was walking with him to get snacks from the store I'd usually let him get what he wants
"So then I'm like watch ya mouth Lareefa" I scrunched my face up at the name
He was venting to me about one of his lil girlfriends "first off why are you fucking with a girl named lareefa" I said her name with disgust
"Bro she wants me I don't want her" I laughed at his statement and shook my head
We continued the conversation until we got back to my place
"So what we watching?" He asked me sitting on the couch
"Let's watch the lion king" I said sitting next to him picking the movie "saydatt" he got comfortable grabbing his blanket off the couch
We watched the movie together until there was a knock on the door "who is it?" I asked before looking through the peephole
"Kay " the voice said
I opened the door "where rippy?" He asked before seeing him on the couch comfortable "Nigga where you been at ya moms looking for you let's go" kay said making him get up
He put his shoes on and gave me hug "we can finish the movie later di di I'll see you" I nodded and hugged as I watched the sad look on his face I knew he hated going to his moms place but this wasn't my child so I can't interfere to much
Jaryan walked out while Kay stood there in front of me "what ? you need something mr flocka?" I asked him with a lil sass
"Nah you funny, lemme get ya digits tho" Kay smiled at me showing his gap, I laughed holding my hand out for his phone which he gave to me
I put my number in and gave it back to him "aight Ma imma hit you" he said then walked off
I closed my door locking it smiling
I sat down on my couch and watched tv until I heard my phone go off

Me and Kay had texted for the rest of the day just getting to know Each other. When I finally looked at the time it was pretty late and I had to work in the morning
I put my phone on the charger while I showered . Once I got out I did my skin care brushed my teeth and went to bed.
