Starlight, lighting up the darkest night

Harry's POV:

Charlie had been in a coma for almost a week now, everyday the doctor came in and ran some tests and each time his answer was the same but today was much different. Myself and Louis had stayed the night at the hospital incase Charlie woke up during the night, it was late morning when there was a knock at the door I cleared my throat and said 'Come in' the door opened and Charlie's friend's Tao, Elle and Isaac walked in Elle smiled and said 'I hope you don't mind us coming to visit' I smiled back and said 'Of course we don't mind, please come in'.

It was a little bit crowded in the room so Louis suggested that myself and him went to get something to eat from the café Elle sat down beside Charlie's bed and said 'We'll stay with him and if something happens we'll let you know'. 

Elle's POV:

Seeing Charlie laying in bed pulled at my heart strings he looked so small and fragile almost as if anyone touched him he'd shatter in to a million pieces. I was sat watching Tao and Isaac talking when I felt Charlie's hand squeeze mine at first I thought it was just a figment of my imagination but then it happened again I sat up and looked at Charlie he was waking up his eyes slowly opened and he said 'Nick where's Nick'.

I pressed the button on the wall to alert the doctor, before turning to Tao as I said 'Tao go and find Harry and Louis and call Nick tell him to get here'. I turned back to Charlie and said 'Charlie it's okay Nick's on his way, how are you feeling' Charlie quietly said 'I feel tired which is silly considering I've been in a coma, my injuries are abit sore as-well'.

Nick's POV:

I was in my room on my bed with Nellie looking at pictures of myself and Charlie on my laptop, I missed him so much and every night I prayed that he would wake up. I looked up from my laptop when my mum knocked on the door she walked in and said 'Nick it's Charlie he's woken up, get yourself dressed I'll drive you to the hospital' never in my life had I moved so fast I jumped out of bed and got dressed in my grey joggers, yellow t-shirt and blue hoodie before grabbing my phone and backpack. 

My mum was waiting by the door for me as I ran downstairs and quickly put my shoes on and followed my mum out to the car. Once we arrived at the hospital I ran through the corridors until I reached Charlie's room, I took a deep breath before pushing the door open and my heart nearly burst from my chest at the sight of my beautiful Charlie awake and sitting up and talking.

Charlie looked over at me and said 'Nick your here' I walked over to him and sat on the side of the bed where I wrapped my arms around Charlie giving him the biggest hug and then kissing him passionately on the lips, Elle cleared her throat and said 'Come on let's give them some time alone'. 

Charlie's POV:

I was so happy to be out of the coma and even happier to have Nick sitting here beside me, I reached out and took hold of Nick's left hand and said 'I heard you when I was in the coma I heard you talking to me telling me to wake up and that you loved me', Nick smiled and said 'I didn't know whether you'd be able to hear me'. 

I gently pulled Nick into my arms and said 'Whilst I was in the coma I had a couple of dreams, the first one showed me what my life would have been like If I'd stayed in a relationship with Ben. And the second one showed our life if we got married, it's you I fell in love with and it's you I want to be with'. Nick turned to look at me we leaned in until our foreheads were touching and as we looked into each-others eyes he said 'And I want to be with you for the rest of my life. Charlie I know I said it many times when you were in the coma but I need to say it again now, I am so sorry for shouting at you at school and assuming you didn't love me anymore I now know that it was Ben who wrote that note I found'.
