Chapter 25 – Grace
Time passed slowly being chained to the wall and Ragers came and went, raping a she-wolf for their own pleasure or seeing if they could taunt me into a reaction. My heart breaks when a she-wolf would scream in pain, their pleading and begging making it hard for me to stay still when all I want to do is come to their rescue. But I stay still. I have to protect the keys that will unlock our freedom from here. If the Ragers find out I have them, then our only chance at escaping will be gone.
The red-head from before catches my attention once more, her eyes going from me to where the keys are hidden, her brow raised in a silent question – can we leave? I shake my head no, watching her eyes close in disappointment. Unfortunately for us she-wolves now is not the time to escape with men walking in and out. I have a feeling nightfall will be soon and many will be falling asleep and with many of the wolves fast asleep, we will have to move during the night if we want a quick escape. With a sigh, I rest my head on my paws, doing my best to conserve energy. I know the girls in here will be sore, barely able to move and many will have to be helped, but night time will be our one and only shot at our freedom.
I do my best to drown out the she-wolves being raped, the scent of blood as they are forced to mate with the male using them lingering in the air. My eyes keep meeting the red-head, her determined gaze one that captivates me. She will make a great ally in our escape.
"Hey, its night time. We need to let the she-wolves rest." Sticking his head inside the room, Alsir calls out to the remaining men. I watch as the three in the middle of their activities groan in frustration, their bodies moving faster as they rush to finish their deed. I suppress the growl threatening to spill from my lips, wanting nothing more than to kill those few wolves who cause more pain to their victims.
"I said give them a rest!" Alsir growls out in warning, striding into the room and towards the one wolf who is forcing a she-wolf to gag on his dick. I watch as he pulls the wolf away, his clawed fingers slicing the male's erect penis right off. Blood splatters onto the she-wolf, her screams of terror ringing in the room.
"When I say let them rest, I mean let them rest. Someone take him and his dick out to medical aid. He wont be able to fuck anyone for a while until the medics reattach it onto his body." Alsir orders, the remaining two males coming to take their companion away from their Beta. No wonder Alsir had no remorse for Mitch after I tore his dick off, he does it as a punishment to the others.
Soon all the Ragers file out of the cave, leaving us she-wolves alone. The red-head looks to me, her questioning gaze reminding me that now might be a good time to run. I nod my head, closing my eyes and allowing the shift to change my body from wolf to human. The drugs are not completely out of my system and so the shift takes a few minutes longer than I'd like. Biting my lip from the pain, I listen as each bone bends and snaps into shape in case a Rager hears me shifting and comes to investigate. Lucky for me, I soon find myself in my skin form with no issues. The chain rattles as I move, the collar around my neck lose with my human form being smaller than my wolf. I carefully grab the keys from beside me, trying my best not to rattle the multitude of metal hanging together as I try to find the one that will unlock the collar on me. With ten attempts, I grin as the eleventh key fits snugly into the keyhole and the satisfying click of the collar unlocking is heard.
I carefully take the collar off, settling it onto the ground before tiptoeing to the red-head. Putting a finger to my lips, I help quickly get to work finding the right key to take off her own collar, smiling triumphantly when the third key releases her.
"Keep silent and help me free the others." I whisper, the redhead nodding in response as we set off to the closest she-wolf. We work fast, her holding the collar while I search for the right key. When the lock unlocks, the red-head sets the collar down and motions for the freed she-wolf to wait for us by the exit. With quick work, all twelve she-wolves are freed and we are left with the next step of the plan – escaping.
The red-head and I join the others by the exit, some leaning on others in order to stay standing. It is clear that some of these wolves are Omegas and if I hadn't been here, they would never have a chance to escape.
"I have a feeling the Ragers won't be hunting for she-wolves as all the collars were in use. Right now they should be asleep." I state in a whisper, making sure to keep my senses alert in case a Rager walks in.
"This is our chance to escape and make it out alive. Stay silent, stay vigilant because no one will come back for you if any of the men here catch you." I warn, letting these girls know the harsh reality of the situation we are in.
"Lets go." After making sure the thirteen she-wolves before me understand, I let out a soft smile. As much as my words caused them fear, these ladies need to know the truth. If any one of them is caught, no one will be returning to save them. They will forever be stuck with their Rager mate, forced to bear pups and be raped by any and all males in the pack if they are not silent. With a nod to the she-wolves, I tiptoe to the door and stick my head out.
"I know the way out." I quiet voice whispers from my left. Turning, I find the red-head beside me.
"I woke up just in time for them to carry me from the entrance to their hideout. I can lead us out." She continues. I weigh her words and decide to trust her.
"Take the lead. I will take the rear." She nods at my order, slipping into the hall and padding towards the end where an intersection of the cave system meets. She looks around before nodding to me and I send the she-wolves out after her. Slowly and silently, each she-wolf tiptoes into the hall, their steps barely audible as they lean on their partner. I smile, the escape going smoother than I expected so far as I am the last to leave the cave, leaving the keys locked in a collar and wondering if the Ragers will be able to free the keyring without the key to the collar grasped in my hand. My best bet is they will need to replace all the collars come the next event.
I join the huddled girls at the end of the hallway, the red-head looking to me for a moment. I nod at her, motioning with my hand to lead the way as I keep an eye out for any Ragers. We are not in the open, at any moment one can pop out and sound the alarm to their pack. The red-head stays just ahead of everyone, her head on a swivel as she too keeps her eyes and ears peeled for any movement not apart of the group as the other girls follow her. Thankfully, they stay silent as we are lead down corridors of caves. The procession is agonizingly slow but the hope building inside me has me believing that we will make it out of here alive and safe in no time.
