Home was quiet, peaceful. Just how I wanted it to be. I liked the sound of the trees swaying and the leaves rattling together. The sound of the small pond in my garden rippling and slashing as the fishes swam around. This was better than school. School was busy and crowded. Seeing everyone with friends made me lonely, but to be honest with you I prefer it that way. No friends made me happy. No friends was a freedom that not many people had. I was thankful. I enjoyed the summer holidays . There was no school and I could sit at home and read. Reading was my hobby. Stories of dragons and icey lands. That's what kept me busy. I just hoped that one day I would be able to fulfill my dreams and travel the world alone.
My book still in hand I walk over to the window. The streets are always full of kids playing with their toys and riding bikes. There is always that one child that falls off and starts screaming and crying. Then the mother comes and tells off the kid.
I watched the same scene again. Over and over, everyday. But that day was different. As I looked out of the window, on the cream, concrete floor was a cat. It's fur was white and its ears were chocolate brown. At the sight of me, it's ears pricked up and it's emerald eyes widened. I could see it lifting its front legs, staring at me. It waved!!!
