As I opened the door, a bright light shone in my face, blinding me. As the light dimmed, I gazed upon the floating city of libros. There were no humans. Just cats. Fat cats. Small cats. Even fancy cats in suits. "Welcome to libros Bruno!"
A glass bridge joins the large building in the middle from the door.
"We had better start walking"
I take my first step. This was scarier than I thought! The glass looked like it was going to crack under my feet. Magico calmly walks beside me.
After about 10 minutes of walking, we make it to the tall steps of the building.
"Magico, what is this building used for?"
"This is the library of pawlas"
There must be about 100 steps to get there! Great... just what I needed.
"Hold my tail, Bruno"
Ummmmmm... OK
I grip his tail and find myself at the top of the steps. Wait... WHAT?
"Quickly let's go in."
To my surprise, the big wooden doors opened when we approached. I immediately heard the sound of meows and talking. I was used to the whole talking cat situation now. Magico strides in and the whole hall goes silent.
"... Hello. " That was all I said! Jeez!
Whispers and small talk started in the hall. We carried on walking.
In the middle of the great hall was a podium and an old cat with a waistcoat and a spectacle, writing in a book with his ink pen. He stares down at us.
"What now Magico?! How many times have I said this to you? He doesn't want to see you and is very busy!"
Magico replies, "This is for a different cause! I have the human who is willing to help us!"
Once again the old cat stares. It feels icy cold.
"What is your name, human?"
"Bruno, sir"
"Fine Magico, I shall let you in, but there is no guarantee that you will come out with your pleasure."
We walk on. The cat watches us until we walk through 2 large doors into a library.
"Who are we seeing Magico?"
"We are seeing the keeper of the book of Libros"
We walk through the aisles until we find another grumpy, old looking cat putting books back in the shelves. He has a massive scar on his face and few hairs left. He looked like he had been in a fight!
"Mr Whiskers"
"What!"
