I woke up this morning and sat up in bed. A bright light shone through the curtains and was painted on my bedroom floor. Quiet. No noise. Just quiet. Magico sat on my bed, looking at me.
"Finnaly this human is awake!"
I shunt back in my bed covers. WHAT! MAGICO CAN TALK!
"What the hell!"
"Calm down, I'm just a cat"
"CALM DOWN... THERE IS A TALKING CAT IN MY BEDROOM!"
"Well sorry for the inconvenience then, but I need to be fed"
His voice sounded like a posh teen.
I stop trembling, but my body was stiff and still.
"Hurry up. I'm hungry."
"Your name is Magico isn't it?"
"Yep. Magico."
"How the hell can you talk?"
"I'll tell you but first I need to be fed. You humans take too long to wake up."
I go downstairs with Magico following me. I'm still petrified of course, but not as petrified as before.
"What do you want?"
The cat thinks.
"How about a..... oh an egg!"
To be honest, I kind of fancied an egg too.
"OK then"
I cracked our eggs and fried them in oil. I take Magicos out and add onions to the bottom of mine. After taking it out, I slice the toast and sit down with my egg. Magico starts to eat.
"So... what did you want to tell me?"
"What is your name, human?"
"Bruno"
He slurps the orange yolk and carries on.
"So Bruno, I came here because I needed your help. Creatures of Faranhell have stolen the legendary book of Libros and we need to get it back."
My head was puzzled.
"Back up a bit... what's Faranhell?"
"Faranhell is a place filled with savage dogs who terrorise peace. While Libros is the place of calm cats and books. It is the city of knowledge."
I place my knife and fork on the empty plate and let Magico carry on.
"Magico,what is the legendary book of Libros?"
"The book is an ancient relic which was founded in the ancient Egyptian Times. It shows images of cats and humans as equals and if the book is destroyed in a specific way, then cats and humans will forever be enemies. Cats will become demons and violent. Dogs will be loved and cats rejected."
"Oh my!"
"So, will you help me get it back?"
"I'm not sure... its a tough decision to make."
"An adventure. That's what we'll have... an adventure."
"You know what... fine. Let's go on an adventure."
"Great! We will head to Libros first for equipment then Faranhell."
I question quickly pops up know my head.
"How do we get there?"
"Easy. Just go through this door."
A golden wooden door floats in front of me. I had never seen it before.
"Well don't be a scaredy cat, open it!"
