The New Light of Hope Book II: Return to the Forest

Chapter I: One Year Later.

The next morning, Chief ArrowHeart called Eagle into his den along with Leopard, a Messenger apprentice, Compass, and MoonStone and he told them about his sweven and about the ominous prophecy he had received that night about how the forest would meet a terrible fate. "But we cannot do this alone." He said. "We are going to need some extra help."

MoonStone and Eagle knew what they were talking about, though Leopard did not really understand what he was talking about all that well. Though he tried to understand. "I see what you mean, Chief ArrowHeart." MoonStone said. "And for this reason, the Heroes must return."

Chief ArrowHeart: "Precisely, MoonStone. And that is why we are all traveling to Lucella in order to inform them about this situation. There is not a moment to loose!"

MoonStone: "Yes, sir. Let's go!"

They all then left the den. ArrowHeart knew where to find them since he, BlueFire, and Compass went there to find them one year ago; though, Eagle had never been there before, neither did MoonStone and this was Leopard's first time going there.

Why, hello there, we meet again once more, I see. And I can tell that you wish to here more about the story; well, my friend, I would advise that you buckle up for this one-for this is the story of the time where not only we all went on a long and hard journey to help the animals find a new place that they could call home, but as well as loose many animals before and after our journey.
And this is the story of how it all happened.

I slowly began to open my eyes as the morning sun crept in through the window. I usually woke up early during the breaks away from school to start off my day. Another year, another summer. I told myself.

One year had passed, and me, Amethyst, Sadie, Jemma, Abigail, and Bellatrix were now fifteen years of age; Milly was now sixteen and Summer was now twenty-four and we were all out of school for the summer of 2019 and after the summer ended, all seven of us would return back to school; me, Amethyst, Sadie, Jemma, Abigail, and Bellatrix would be in Grade Ten -or sophomores- and Milly would be in Grade Eleven -a junior- Summer was already done with school. But like almost every kid out there in the world, we would make the most of our summer while we still could before we even went back to school, like we would always do.

Now, what exactly happened during the course of over one year? Well, me and my family -along with Milly and Bella-, became more involved with Christianity and began connecting and following God like Amethyst, Sadie, and Jemma did; following in the path of righteousness, a path to stay away from everything evil and mauvais in the world. Though the world still has its fare share of dangers, still; which is something that is completely out of our total control. But withn that time, we also visited the forest every now and then and when we went back to school, we visited during the weekends and during holiday breaks.

I greeted my family members as I would usually do and decided to speak with Zoey until I left. My brother, Jackson was now fourteen years of age and would be in Grade Nine by next year -also known as a freshman student as well as the future senior class of 2023- whereas Zoey was now twelve years of age and would begin Grade Seven. "It's weird how a one year just went by just as quick as that." Zoey said. "Well, sis, when you're out and about havin' some fun, time flies quickly before you even know it!" I implied. "Though I must admit that even after heading into the forest and leaving. But I know that my friends and I have been visited by spirits in our dreams and has given us updates."

Zoey: "Well, I know that. And I also remember talking with Rascal, Chloe, and Joey about it and how we shared the same amount of grief as y'all did when the one of the leaders or a member had died.
