XingXing was intimidated when he was placed suddenly in a brand-new environment

Then, he met lots of kids his age that he could play with and felt that the kindergarten wasn't that bad after all

When lunch time came and eating the not-so-good cooking, he felt sad all over again

Why did Mommy send him there? And didn't even come to check on him?

The kindergarten let out at 5 PM. By the time she got there, there were already plenty of parents waiting outside

It was the first time most of them had sent their kids to school and naturally they were a little worried but Cheng Haun was the only one calm

Cheng Huan chatted with some of the other parents as she checked the time constantly. But she couldn't wait to leave

She was chatting with the mother of the child who was rolling on the ground throwing a fit earlier in the day

"You have no idea. My kid made such a fuss

His dad and I wanted him to start school much sooner, that way we can drop him off at school, and I will be able to get a job."

The younger woman kept glancing over at the school building as she said that, obviously quite worried about her child

She took another look then turned to Cheng Huan and said, "I saw you by yourself this morning. Where's your husband?"

"He's not around." There wasn't one at all.

"Oh, you poor thing." The younger woman assumed that she meant her husband was working out of town

"My husband and I and my mother-in-law are exhausted just taking care of one child. It must be difficult without your husband around."

She sighed and said, "Having a child costs so much money and energy. If the husband doesn't even help out, what is the point of being married?"

As the woman was saying that, she switched to talking about how much her husband helped out all the time

Listening to her bragging as though she was complaining, Cheng Huan smiled and didn't say anything but felt irritated by them

the kindergarten started playing a cheerful song and all the parents outside of the front door moved forward. Everybody wanted to be the first one to see their kids

She moved to the back, peeked in between the crack of the door, and saw the teachers bringing the kids out shortly

The kindergarten had taught the kids to line up on day one. They formed a straight line of sort as they walked over

When the door opened up, the first teacher walked out and parents stepped up one by one as the kid's name was announced

Cheng Huan waited for a bit before she heard XingXing's name called. She responded to it, pushed forward a little, and the parents moved over to both sides to create a path for her

XingXing was standing in the very front. Cheng Huan picked up his hand with hers and said, "Okay, let's go home." giving a soft smile

XingXing, with his little backpack on his back, walking behind, nether of them saying a word

After Cheng Huan finished preparing dinner, she called out to him

He picked up a grain of rice that was stuck next to his lips and put it inside his mouth

Cheng Huan decided to speak up "how was kindergarten?"

At first XingXing just looked up, not knowing what to say but gave a smile answer "fine"

Cheng Huan gave him a smile before continuing to eat

Cheng Huan would like to be able to cook for him as well, but the kindergarten provided the same food for everyone and outside food was not allowed

She couldn't very well cook for him, so she just ignored it

The next day she had to work so she asked the aunt to pick XingXing up and she already told the teachers during the morning

This would become a normal thing since she had to work on Tuesday,Thursday and Friday because she worked until 9am to 6pm closing time
