Today is the day of parenting kid activities in kindergarten
After Cheng Huan dropped off XingXing to kindergarten
Cheng Huan got ready
Family day was one of the few days that kindergarten was open to public. They have even added a few security guards for safety purposes
Lunch was served in the cafeteria and the parents have already been waiting there when the teacher brought the kids over
Ever since he found out that his mother was gonna be there, he had complicated feelings. When he finally saw Cheng Huan he anxiously walked over
Cheng Huan waited for XingXing with a smile on her face, eventually grabbing his hand and bringing him over to a table
Cheng Huan rubbed his head, seeing he wasn't sweating "are you hot?"
Cheng Huan brought parenting books to read lately, even though she couldn't show affection at home. she can at public places
XingXing just looked up, his mother never touched his hair before but he didn't find it uncomfortable. Other parents we're doing the same thing
When Cheng Huan wasn't paying attention he gave a small smile
The cafeteria at the kindergarten wasn't that big, so only the lower classes are having family day today
Once it was confirmed that every child has located their parents, someone started passing out lunches
Part of the reasons the kindergarten has the parents over for lunch was also to make then feel better about the school
The tuition was medium and the food was okay. They have specific hired nutritionists to put together meals and as also pay attention to using brighter colors of food to enhance the kid's appetite
Lunch was three dishes plus a soap. The amount wasn't alot. Just about right for 2~3 people
Unlike other families who talked they mostly focused on eating. With Cheng Huan asking questions once n awhile
After lunch the kids went to take a nap and the teachers took the parents on a tour of the kindergarten
The kindergarten wasn't too different than when Cheng Huan toured it. The only difference was more artwork from the kids
The teacher was introducing which piece of artwork was done which kid. The parents of the child whose was called would look at the picture. Their faces filled with pride
Cheng Huan was too looking at one of them. It was drawn by XingXing. It name was simple - mom and I
Cheng Huan gave a smile but couldn't help notice the difference. The others had to two parents. Cheng Huan couldn't help but feel envious
The Little kiddo hasn't been drawing for a long time, that combined with the fact he was young and weak
The people he drew were shaped funny and his color choice was a shock to the eyes
But for some reason when Cheng Huan looked at it she thought it was perfect. She even wanted to bring it home and hang it on the wall so everyone could see it
She only felt disappointed when the teacher declined her request
After the tour of the kindergarten, the kids had woken up and rejoined each other and the activity time has began
Cheng Huan never played with XingXing before, he mostly played by himself so she was nervous
The purpose of the parents kid activities was to promote the communications and bonds between the parents and children. As such most activities required the parents and kids to work together
At first it was awkward but they both finally got the hang of it
Most of the games tend to make fun of the parents. For example one of the games had made the parents spin around 10 times on the same spot then they have their kids direct them towards a specific animal picture
Some parents of the lesser balance could barely walk after the spin. Some even fell flat on the ground and everybody would burst out laughing
All the kids were very entertained by the games and all the parents were made a fool
XingXing after playing the entire day was still energetic looking forward to the next Family day
That day as they walked home both in good moods swinging their arm back n forth
Cheng Huan thought she made improvement
After they arrived home Cheng Huan started preparing dinner. XingXing sat Inside the living room and scribbled on a piece of paper with his crayons
He drew a little bit and put his crayons and paper away before dinner was ready. Then he pulled out a Rubik's cube
She didn't stop smiling until the next morning. Making XingXing smile as well
