The morning was young, And after falling asleep quite late my energy was slightly deprived. I got out of bed, exiting its cloud of softness washing my face of all its sleepiness with the small bucket of water beside my bed.
The room was small and made out of high quality wood glossed over adding a more fancier look. She had a small couch in the room with a small fireplace at the front of the room. And a small window near the fireplace.I opened the door to be greeted by a bag in my face.
"Good morning sunshine." Gerard say hanging a brown bag to me
" What's this?" I asked confused
"Its your clothes, And other things. Its from my sister she said after you're done getting ready summon your magical friend."
"Oh ha ha, So funny. You guys make it sound like he's a wizard."
" I don't know if it's you just being tired, But you made it sound like he lived in trees watching you."
"I don't know what he does, But he said he'd always stay near me."
"Interesting how he let someone kidnapped you."
"That just means he doesn't view you as a threat."
"Calling me weak? Ouch." He says putting his hand over his heart.
"Oh hush, Go bother your sister!" I said closing the door behind me.I open the bag taking a look at the clothes sitting inside. They were black with red out lining, They were high quality made of cotton and were fitting. I didn't need a corset since my waist was already slim and flat. It matched perfectly with my cloak as it stood hanging on the door frame. I quickly put on my clothes admiring my shape, And quickly covering it up. The dress was long sleeve and she gave me some trousers to go underneath them.
But why?Didn't matter I put them on, As they were a lot slimmer than men's trousers and more fitting. They snugged my legs and would keep more warm from the winter breeze. And if worst comes to worst I would be able to rip out of my dress and move more quickly.
"I love these!" I exclaimedSuddenly the door opens, I quickly let go of my dress allowing it to fall down and cover my legs. I look behind me to see Theresa,
"Great aren't they. Women trousers the next best thing to move in."
"How did you make these?" I asked
"When you're out travelling alone as a woman, You need to have a few things up your legs to keep you warm."
"Well thank you for the clothes."
"Never mind that, We need to know our next destination."
"Right. My friend said he's always nearby, So I'll just-"I walked outside as my boots clicked onto the floor.
I stand in the grass slightly away from Theresa's home, I take a deep breath keeping my hood up to cover my appearance.
"Theo!" I yell out his name waiting patiently for him to come out.
"He's really good at concealing himself." Gerard whispers
"yea it seems you could learn a thing or two from him." I say sarcasticallyI take another deep breath,
"The-"
"Don't yell again." Theo says standing behind me and Gerard
I slightly jump throwing a first as self defense. Gerard catches my hand looking down at me. "Calm down, I think this is your man."
"Theo! You said you were always close, What took you so long?" I asked
" I told you I'd keep a distance, I had to run over here to you. And how did you figure out my real name?" He asked confused
" Your real name? You told me." I say unsure
"No, I told you my name was Leo."
"Why does everyone have a secret name?"
"I don't." Gerard says raising his hand.
"Not you Gerard!" I say waving his hand down.
" Anyways, Do you know where Elijah and Atticus are?" I asked unsure
" Last night, When I went to check up on them They weren't at camp."
"Well of course Elijah doesn't know how to sit still."
"But they showed signs of heading to the outskirts."
"How far?"
" Towards Bireen Village."
"Did you find any intel for me?"
"No but I got back the journal I gave to you. Did you even read it?"
"Not yet things have been difficult."
"Well make sure you get to it." He says handing me the book
"Will you be on this journey with me?" I asked
"Yea but from a distance, And if you need to call me whistle and don't use my real name."
