So, two things to mention: This fic is a continuation of one of my small fics from the 1st Damianya Anthology, more especifically, the chapter "Rushing Love". And second, I put a small reference of one of my childhood shows here, if you get it, you will earn a virtual cookie. Enjoy it!

The sun covered the field with overwhelming heat, signaling that midday had arrived. And while it was uncomfortable for the guests to have to come in a formal manner to a such an open place filled of grass and trees, and without a roof to protect them from the sun, Eden was always strict for etiquette at important school events. Besides, that green field had always been the traditional place to make final speeches for Eden students, and the principals weren't about to let a sunny day ruin a special moment for them.

At that moment, beyond the sound of the birds and the wind whistling around the place, the sound of the Eden principal's voice over the speakers covered the entire area. There in the middle of the lawn, one of the most rewarding events for any student was taking place. The graduation ceremony. The big day where after many dawns and exams, they could finally receive their graduation diploma and leave the school with merit.

It was a simple celebration in the open field, in a restaurant located in the countryside of Ostania. A luxurious and fresh air place, surrounded by a totally green environment and with a lovely forest area for any nature lover. The areas of the property were spacious, but for reasons of formality and tradition, Eden decided to make the graduation event in the open field with the small construction of a stage and a few chairs.

Now in the middle of that place, there were the parents and children of the last graduating class of the year; a large group and with a few guards watching over the security of the entire field.

And among the graduates, was Anya Forger.

The girl who was once at risk of being expelled from Eden was now there, sitting and waiting for her diploma. She was showing her proud face, especially with some teachers who hadn't even liked her and wanted to give her bad results, to no avail. She didn't think she had made it this far, knowing that studying had been total hell and very competitive. But she felt proud that that diploma meant much more than having passed school. She had indirectly saved the world with her grades, and even if her father didn't know it, she had helped him stand up to the bad guys. Plus, she had gained better control of her powers, and that was a big help to his mission.

Although, she had not only won the battle against them. She also had new victories and new things for her life. And for her, the best thing she could have done was to improve her social life. She met better people in her years in Eden, always in the company of her family and with friends who always had her back. But the person she was most surprised to have gotten close to had been Damian. The boy of whom she had once been her nemesis and was a fool, was now the closest person to her.

She thought of Damian as she was looking at him doing the final graduation speech. Unlike her, Damian had been one of the best students in the class, to the point of becoming an Imperial Scholar and the first place in that year's graduating class. Moreover, the reason many of her subjects were so easy to understand was because Damian had been patient in teaching her every point of his notes almost every afternoon. If it hadn't been for him, she would probably still be in a classroom suffering through early mornings and intense studying.

As Damian spoke, Anya remarked how easy it was for him to perform in front of an audience. His eloquence was almost perfect, and just like his father, he had those oratory skills that made him excellent at speaking in important speeches. Sure, it was easy for him to speak in public. But she knew that, with her, he always got nervous. She understood why, but that was an topic for another moment.
