Chapter 7: Aftermath

I had come across a cargo ship on its way to another island. I quietly walk on. Finding an open crate. I placed Jaiden inside.

Taking off my over top leaving a white shirt on, I place it over her placing the files on the floor. Then giving her a kiss on her head. I stand up grabbing the files in my hand, giving her one last look before quietly walking out of the crate and off the ship.

I walked back to the factory. There's a massive hole in the ground. No sight of a factory here in the first place.
Then multiple white vans pull up to the sight. I feel arms grab me and pull me away before putting me in the back of a van. They took me to a huge white building that I faintly remember. A large sign in the front displayed QSMP FEDERATION BUILDING.

I was escorted inside and into a dark black room, chaining my hands to the table.

A man emerged from the corner of the room and sat across from me, he began speaking looking at me sternly.

"What happened?" The man in all white spoke.

"I don't know, I was sitting at my desk with some files before I heard tnt, I rushed to the exit and saw the rest of the building explode." I spoke quietly, keeping my gaze on the floor.

"Where are you with anyone?"

"No."

"What is your name?"

"QNPC1."

He took out a laptop and searched my name on the computer. I watched as he scanned my profile before closing the laptop.

"So you are the officiate for the Census Bureau?"

"Yes." I looked him straight in the eyes.

"You and a few others were the only survivors. You guys will continue to keep your positions in the Census Bureau, you will keep your title as the officiate, you will have an office here and a room."

I nod my head.

"Also the president for the testing and development department has passed away in the tragic incident, so, you will be given the title as our new co-president for the testing and developing department of the federation, as you know the most."

I feel amazed. I'm going to become a co-president. Maybe I can put an end to the testing. Or, maybe I can develop a new system. Maybe we can start the egg project. But change the idea. Clearly I can't get rid of the whole testing department because I don't make rules. Though I can change them. And maybe, possibly change the rules for the next project.

During the next board meeting we discussed starting the next phase. The egg phase. We still have it in development but it should be starting in the next few years.

They also discussed completely shutting down everything left from the last project and burning it.

Mainly because of the new rule change, we plan on having the eggs being raised by the outside world.

We can't have the children out there too. We can't let our secrets potentially get out because of their ability to talk. Also the project by itself is too much to continue especially the prices and not the proper equipment.

Even if they didn't say they wanted to terminate her, if she were to stay they would potentially burn her or put her down.

This is why eggs are the perfect idea.
