"Hey Ryan, could You drop me off at school tomorrow?" I ask out of the blue.

"No" He replies, continuing to text on his phone, probably to a girl.

"Awww c'mon! Please? If you do, I'll let you come with me to Gun Run tonight" I sing.

He looks up from his phone and looks at me with a grin, then turns to his phone and locks it.

"Hmmm... Alright then, but I am gonna use the TEC, save me it Kay?" He grins, getting up and shoving his phone in his pocket.

"Fine, I was a Glock girl anyway... TEC's are so bad... you have a disgusting choice in guns Ryan" I ramble on at once.

"Like I give a shit, look, Mom is coming home in half an hour and we should seriously get a move on, there's a list of chores on the fridge" He hurries, scrambling to the curtains and peeking at the driveway.

"Now I regret leaving them last minute" I groan, walking over to the kitchen fridge and searching around before spotting a scruffy little note.

Groceries

Dusting

Trash

Shopping - Mall

"Ryan, no way are we gonna get this done in like half an hour. I can only do groceries and trash, you do dusting, we can go out to the mall after school tomorrow to do some shopping" I shout.

"Fine, ill start dusting" Ryan shouted back in reply.

"Good, I need your car" I tell him, but pretty sure he is gonna say 'No'.

"If you touch it, I will tell every single student in your school about how you almost killed your gun instructor" He hissed.

"Woah, okay okay, I'm sorry" I chuckle, walking to the living room and finding him texting again.

"Ugh, get your flabby butt off the sofa and work" I push him, annoyed.

"Just bend over and I'll work for ya" He laughs.

"Okay, that is disgusting, I'm outta here" I rush to the coat rack and grab my blazer,

Plucking the keys off the holder and grabbed my wallet from the shelf, dashing out, closing the door behind me.

The soft summer breeze slaps my cheeks as I turn around, the first thing I see is my brother's endlessly shiny Audi and the tall bushes that were playing the role of a fence for our front yard.

I walk out and stroll down the pavement, my hands in my blazer pockets and my hair swaying to the wind's gentle rush.

I was almost at the store, I could see the flashy 'OPEN' sign ever so slightly, I quickened my pace as the sun begun to sink down away from sight, slowly letting darkness take over.

I slowed down a bit to get around a street lamp without walking into it and totally flattening my nose.
