Zital's POV
The pink haired person stares at me with those void black eyes. The metal mouth cover makes a slight hiss every time her chest moves with breath. Four crystal wings made from what looks like glass and energy sprout from her back. It's hands and feet are flesh and metal mixed together. The green dress it wears looks too normal on such a strange boy.
"Did he change you Cora? I'll kill him if he touched you!" I hiss out at it. It's head looks exactly like hers.
"My name is Ellie, not Cor-ah. Who is Cor-ah?" It asks sweetly and tilts its head.
"Then why do you look like her?"
"I... don't know.... When I don't know something I ask father. Would you like to ask father?" Her echoing voice is off putting.
"Who is father?" I ask. That seems to make its pink and grey and black tail wag.
"Father is who and what made me! Father gave me siblings! Father cries when he thinks I can't hear. Father wants to give me real siblings! I think the fairies are my real siblings. I like my fey siblings!"Fey. Imno made that!? Of course the fey god made a monstrosity. No wonder why he found a fascination in a girl that looks exactly like his creation.
"Imno is your father?" I ask in confirmation. It claps their hands in joy.
"Yes! Oh and you can call me a her. Imno always calls me his daughter and that is a female word. Right? Oh and Cloy is a boy! Like male? What are you?"Two turquoise stars appear on her eyes. Her tail is still wagging in joy at me. I realize now that she is probably not a threat so I take my hand off my sword and sit down.
"I am a boy." I say simply. She sits on the ground with her knees together and her ankles kicked out to either side.
"I like your manapool!" She speaks excitedly.
"Why?..." I ask suspiciously. I am confused; is she a threat or a innocent child? Only those with magic or those who eat magic can see or sense it.I stare at her intensely for a moment to see if I can sense anything from her. A large and strong aura appears around her as I focus. I've never seen a manapool like her's before. It isn't contained to a shield like orb inside her, no, it is free and flowing like a god's. Perhaps I just can't see it very well but when I concentrate a little harder I see a faint force field around it that keeps her mana from merging with the outside world. She has to be a demigod for this. Is she actually Imno's daughter?
"It has a warm glow like Jacer. Are you a Chosen?" She asks too casually. I stare at her blankly.
"A what?"She giggles and then doesn't answer. That laugh is creepy.
"My father brought you here, let me show you around." She says with a smile and steps closer. Her hand grabs my wrist before I can protest or draw my blade. For hours she drags me around by the hand and shows me every corner of the garden. I completely forget to report back to Cora as Ellie excitedly tells me about her home in the sky. She claims it is rather peaceful and calm and sometimes her father takes her to some form of mainland to run errands and have fun. Her voice and over-friendliness is a little off putting but she behaves like a little kid who just made a new best friend.
"Hay I have to ask, if your father really is Imno then does that make you a demigod?" I ask her while we sit on the half broken wall.
"Well yes! Dad is still teaching me elemental magic but so far I can hack with my mind and OH WAIT you don't know what hacking is! Umm... I can do stuff beyond your world's level of technology."
"I was originally never going to ask." I say plainly.
"Oh." She replies.I should start asking questions. She seems harmless and I can't match with a demigod anyway. I'm also a guest in their home so I should have nothing to fear right now.
"So what are you exactly? Or better question, do you have a mom?" I ask, she hesitates.
"My mother died long before I existed. Dad saved her egg cells since they planned to make me anyway. Mother was a very strange half living metal creature. She had a glass visor, upright canine like features, talons like a dragon, wings made of pure crystallized energy. Dad says her people had things called computers. They don't exist anymore but dad has a bunch of old technology hidden somewhere. Sometimes he lets me play games on them." Her voice sounds a little sad.
