TYLERS CHICKEN SHACK, AUSTRALIA

Tyler carried Y/n out of the helicopter bridal style, bringing her into his house after Ketevan and Nik were inside. He still had to go get Yaz, who was currently sleep talking about 'guns ahn stuff.....a pew-pew...pew!' Tyler glanced at Y/n's face briefly, wondering how her green eyes alone didn't give it away immediately. When Tyler was half conscious and dying in Dhaka, the woman that had bandaged his wounds was Y/n. She had saved his life just a few months prior. He laid her on the couch, picking up her extremely long hair and putting it on her stomach so no one tripped on it.

He went back out to the chopper, tossing his friend over his shoulder carelessly. He put Yaz in the bedroom where Nik was trying to take care of her wounds in the attached bathroom. Ketevan was in his room with Nina, trying to get her daughter to sleep. Tyler opened one of the closets in the hallway, grabbing a tick blanket and bringing it out to the living room. He draped it over Y/n, before leaving the house to wait for his ex-wifes arrival.

When Tyler had found out about his sons Lymphoma, he panicked. It was wrong, cowardly even, to leave his son while he was dying. He regrets it everyday. When he got back from his tour, he found that his wife, Mia, had been making the most out of her months alone. He couldn't fault her exactly, her son had died, her husband had left her alone to watch it by herself. But, it didn't make Tyler any less mad when He saw the man sleeping with his wife in his bed.

Not wanting to confront them in the moment, knowing it would probably end in the unknown man being violently attacked, he left a long note on the fridge. The note, in short, explained that Mia would be receiving divorce papers soon. Tyler didn't have a whole lot of money at the time, so he bought a ratty, beaten down house and a few chickens, taking his dog and a bag of clothes from his old home. Mia ended up selling the old house and moved back to Georgia, to her credit writing Tyler a check for half the houses worth. For a while he had been angry, but after considering why she did it, he was able to forgive her.

Forgive, but never forget.

His train of thought was broken by a car pulling into his driveway. From the drivers side, his ex-wife stepped out, looking at him with remorse. Either she regretted her actions or she regretted marrying him, but Tyler didn't really care enough to decipher it. Mia ran past him into his house, going to check on her sister. She was a little surprised when she saw the beautiful young woman on the couch, who was trying to sit up. She walked over, helping Y/n to sit straight.

"Do you know where my sister is?" She asked hurriedly, still grasping Y/ns hand. Y/n smiled warmly, standing up and leading Mia over to the room with Ketevan and Nina inside. She knew they were there because she had heard Nina laugh loudly, which had woken her up. Mia ran inside, giving her sister a bone crushing hug.

"Thank you." Mia said, her eyes watering slightly. Y/n smiled and nodded, giving the sisters a moment. She walked back into the kitchen, seeing Tyler leaning over the counter. He seemed to know she was behind him, because he began talking.

"Back in Dhaka," He started. "When I was shot off the bridge and I was supposed to die, you were the one who pulled me out, weren't you?" When he finished, he turned around, facing her. She sheepishly nodded.

"Sorry if you wanted to die man, I was just reacting on instinct." She said, humor lacing her voice. Tyler snorted, turning back to the coffee he had made.

"Coffee?" He asked, holding a cup out to her. She graciously accepted, stepping forward to receive the mug.

"You want cream or sugar?" He asked, gesturing to the milk behind him.
