The much-anticipated day of the school field trip had finally dawned, and you were more than ready for it.

You had spent the previous day meticulously preparing everything you might need, so you could embark on this adventure without any last-minute hassles. The anticipation had filled you with an unmistakable spark of excitement that hadn't faded, not even after a night's sleep.

Morning had barely broken when you bade a fond farewell to your family - your ever-worried parents and the younger sister who looked at you with a mix of envy and admiration. Their familiar faces were the last sight of home you would have as you embarked on your journey.

The destination was still a mystery, a secretive beach location that the school authorities had planned, but the mystery only served to heighten your anticipation.

Your mother, ever the doting parent, had offered to drive you directly to the undisclosed location. She wished to ensure your comfort and safety, but you had respectfully declined her offer. The reason was simple - you didn't want to miss out on the camaraderie and fun that would undoubtedly unfurl on the school bus ride with your friends.

They were an integral part of this adventure, and the shared memories would only make the experience more memorable.

Your friends were already gathered at the school gate, their faces beaming with excitement as they waited for your arrival. As you approached, you could see their impatient glances replaced by welcoming smiles. Together, you all crossed the threshold of the school gate, an unspoken promise of shared adventure hanging in the air.

The school bus stood tall and proud, waiting to ferry you all to your destination. It was more than just a vehicle - it was a symbol of the journey you were about to undertake, of the excitement, laughter, and shared memories that would punctuate every mile of the way.

The bus was the vehicle that would carry you all to the destination, and as you stepped aboard with your friends, the sense of adventure was palpable.

You were not just headed to a beach - you were heading towards an experience that promised to be unforgettable.

The school bus was bustling with a bunch of different noises that echoed through its cramped space. The tapping sounds made by countless fingers on mobile phone screens was a constant rhythm, creating an electronic symphony of sorts. It was a typical sound in this era of technology, where people were constantly connected, even on a simple school bus ride. Accompanying this electronic symphony were the sounds of students engrossed in their own world of video content, their faces illuminated by the glow of the screens, with earphones plugging them into their private audioscapes.

Simultaneously, the bus resonated with the lively chatter of the other students, their voices overlapping and mingling into a vibrant hum. The diverse tones and pitches painted a colorful verbal portrait of youth and excitement. Each individual was deeply engaged in conversation, sharing stories, cracking jokes, or simply enjoying the pleasant company of their peers.

One such conversation was initiated by Bachira, who, wearing an expression of joy and anticipation, proposed, "It would be cool if me, Isagi, and M/N could share a room!" His suggestion was delivered with genuine enthusiasm. It was apparent that he held a deep desire to experience the joy of friendship with you and Isagi. To him, sharing a room meant an opportunity to bond, to share laughs, and to create memories that would last a lifetime.

While the majority of your friends were eagerly engaged in debates and discussions about room arrangements and planning various activities for your upcoming stay, you found yourself grappling with a rather unpleasant sensation. The swaying movement of the bus, similar to the undulating waves of the sea, was wreaking havoc on your senses.

You have always been used to motion sickness, and the condition tends to get severe when the motion resembles the movements of the sea. It was a fight within yourself, a struggle to maintain your composure and to keep the nausea at bay. You did everything in your power to distract your mind from the wave-like movement of the bus. The lively discussions about room shares and planned activities seemed like a world away as you concentrated on taking deep breaths, hoping to quell the uncomfortable feeling rising within you.

'Fuck. I don't feel too good.'

Your thoughts wandered from your companions to the stunning view from beyond the window, an attempt to divert your mind from your current emotions.

'I should've had taken up mom's offer to drop me there, it would have been
quick -'

A cough broke into your reflections, pulling your attention back to a recognizable figure now standing before you. Your friends, seated next to you, spotted him as well and subsequently followed your gaze, all of you focused on the same individual.

"Wait, isn't that Itoshi Rin?" Reo spoke up, pointing at Rin, whom was standing infront of you.

'Ah.'

"Rin? Is something up?" M/N asked, attempting to hide the worried expression that had been on his face earlier. "No," Rin replied sternly.

Your friends, watching the exchange, were utterly confused, trying to make sense of what was happening in front of them.

"Can I sit here?" Rin asked, waiting for your response.

You blinked several times in confusion, unsure why he wanted to sit right next to you, but you agreed anyway.

With a nod, Rin sat down next to you and took out his phone just as the bus started moving again.

You couldn't help but stare at him, wondering how some people could use their phones on a moving bus without feeling sick.

-

Throughout the trip, you were a complete mess. Dizzy and nauseous, you lost count of how many times you almost threw up.

Your friends found your misery amusing, laughing at your worn-out face and teasing you about not being able to handle a simple 30-minute bus ride.

The bumps and turns only made it worse, and every time the bus jolted, you felt your stomach churn. You tried to distract yourself by looking out the window or closing your eyes, but nothing seemed to help. All the while, Rin remained absorbed in his phone, seemingly unaffected by the motion of the bus.

By the time the bus finally stopped, you were utterly exhausted. Your friends continued to tease you, but you could only manage a weak smile in response. All you wanted was to get off the bus and find some solid ground.
