- All have found were fairy tales. - she brushed her pink curls. This day was exhausting for Sakura, after the talk she had with Hinata, the woman had to go and the priestess was left alone.
She searched the library again but found no more books that interested her.

- Except for a few mentions of a demon... - however, none mentioned what it was or what was the reason for it. If the supposed beast was a Holy Spirit, why would he drop it? It didn't make sense to Sakura. - Why would the Holy Spirit betray the people who worship it? It doesn't make sense. - There was silence in the room, Sakura stared at the ceiling. - What Spirit is it talking about? -

The next morning, using the map of the palace she begged from Kakashi, Sakura searched for the archive. - Most likely they will be under the castle, in the... - she looked down and on the way she found the room she was looking for.
- Wait a minute... No... -

In front of her was a huge wooden door with gravel. - It is....right next to the library. - Sakura stared at the door for a moment, she couldn't believe that she hadn't noticed them the day before. -Let's go inside. - She sighed and grabbed the handle. - It shouldn't be much of a problem, right? -

As it turned out, fate decided otherwise, and after entering she was stopped by a black-haired man. He had long hair pulled up in a high ponytail. Gray high-waisted trousers and a sandy yellow jacket. There was a monocle over his left eye.
- Who are you? - After the tone and his attitude, Sakura quickly realizes that the man does not like it when someone, especially a stranger, enters the archive. Which was understandable considering what the room might contain.

- I'm the first concubine, Sakura - she introduced herself and nodded slightly. The man narrowed his eyes and adjusted his monocle. - You don't seem to be happy nor proud of this, Ma'am. -

- Should I be? - she asked sarcastically.
Even if she was chosen to be the first concubine, which means she was almost a Queen, she didn't plan on hiding her disgust and hate towards the King. To her surprise, she noticed something familiar. The man wore a gold earring with bloody-red elements.

This particular earring in this color is worn only by one group of people well-known to Sakura. - Kyuubi follower? - she asked with a calm, gentle tone of voice. The man was surprised that the woman noticed and even recognized the addition. In their present day, hardly anyone, especially nobles, knew what it meant, and hardly anyone wore it. Because out of his hate, the King had forbidden the worship of Kyuubi.

The black-haired man noticed the specific addition of the pink-haired woman. - You... are a priestess, the one who... - he stopped himself, between them was silence. The man took a deep breath to calm down and looked at the pink-haired girl once more. He smiled involuntarily and spoke in a more friendly voice.

- What do you need, Ma'am? - he smiled at her sincerely, it was a nice change for the priestess, no one in the palace, except for Hinata, seemed to be smiling. This embarrassed and upset Sakura, because the palace seemed more gloomy than it was because of it. - This might sound silly, but... I'd like to see some records of the royal family related to the Holy Spirit. -

They walked through the archives, passing the allies, the black-haired man led her to a small corner with a table surrounded by bookshelves.
- A quiet and peaceful corner, as you wanted. - he said pointing to the table. - Thank you, sir. - The man noticed the pink-haired woman's smile.

- Shikamaruis my name, Ma'am. - Sakura smiled warmly, Shikamaru was one of the few people she'd met in the last few days who was kind to her. - Please call me by my name, it's strange for me to use honorifics. - she smiled timidly, slightly flushed with embarrassment.

- Weird? But you're not- You're not Tsunade's-sama successor? - Shikamaru turned to her and looked into her green eyes. Sakura blinked a few times and smiled shyly. - I am, but... I was always called by name because I grew up in the temple. - She replied looking at her hands with an embarrassed smile. - I see... -

- When he said it's a lot, he didn't lie... - Sakura looked at the ceiling, she was tired. She read a lot of books in half a day, and that was only the beginning. She got up and sat correctly in the chair, there was one more book on the table to read. - This will be the last one for today. -She sighed and reached for the book. After reading a few lines, she came to a simple conclusion. - It's a diary... But whose? - she sat silently and read one line by line, trying to find a clue as to who was the owner. Suddenly Sakura's eyes widened in surprise. - Uchiha... Izuna..? -
