Description: Ominis and Y/n decided to pull a prank on Amit and Andrew, because they were talking trash about Y/n. So, they make Amit and Andrew think they both have a date with Y/n in the Astronomy tower. But It turns out they're actually meeting each other instead.

It was only ten minutes to midnight. Amit paced back and forth in the astronomy tower, feeling nervous. Of course he was nervous – after all, y/n was the hero of Hogwarts, and she had grown really pretty in 7th year. Anyone would be thrilled to have a date with her, right? Oh why, why did he ask her out?

Was it because Andrew kept talking about her all the time? It infuriated him, yet he struggled to understand why he felt that way. Y/n was indeed very attractive, so it was natural for Andrew to like her. In an attempt to fit in, Amit had played along with him, even saying things he felt really bad about. He didn't like speaking about anyone's body like that, but he didn't want to stand out even more. He already felt different enough as it was.

This was his last chance. Amit desperately wanted to feel normal. Y/n would be here any moment now. He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "It's just excitement from having a date," he tried to repeat to himself.

The midnight struck, and suddenly he heard footsteps approaching. Amit quickly went to a railing and tried to adapt a nonchalant pose. The nauseating feeling was taking over, so to gain a few more seconds, he turned away from the staircase. Thus, he didn't notice that the figure appearing in the tower was not y/n at all.

"Amit?" a familiar voice made him swiftly turn around.

"Andrew?" he said in surprise. "What in Merlin's beard are you doing here?"

"I'm..." Andrew started, looking around, all confused. "I'm having a date here...with y/n," he added.

"Oh..." was all Amit managed to say. It took him a good minute before he connected the dots. She tricked them both. But the most surprising part of this realisation was the immense relief he felt, which quickly turned into frustration. So, Andrew asked her out too...

"Well," Amit said, unable to hide the bitterness in his voice, "it looks like she played a little game with us. I was supposed to meet her here too, at midnight."

Andrew was stunned for just a moment, but then his brow furrowed and he walked closer to Amit. "Why didn't you tell me you asked her out?" he inquired.

Amit folded his hands, feeling even more frustrated. So this was it? Andrew was mad at him for ruining his date? This evening was getting worse by the second.

"And why didn't you tell me, huh?" spat Amit angrily.

Andrew was staring at him for a good ten seconds, then he shook his head. "I didn't think you would like her."

Amit tried to swallow, his throat felt suddenly dry. Did he like her? No. At least not like that, really. But it was too late now so he decided to continue with this game. "Why wouldn't I like her? She's pretty."

Andrew turned his back to Amit and walked a few steps away. "Do you... do you remember the Yule ball night?" he said, still not facing Amit.

He remembered that night very well. Amit had found Andrew in a horrible state back in the common room, he said he'd been abandoned by his date and felt too ashamed to return to the Great Hall. Amit had wanted to cheer him up, so he'd taken him to the Astronomy tower to the very same spot they were standing now. The view was always so beautiful. Amit knew Andrew would love it and he did.
