It's been six months since ma-confine ang kapatid ko from a heart disease. His name is Lantern, but we call him moshi. Who would believe that a four year old boy will be stuck, lying on a hospital bed for six months. 

Last month, the doctor told us that his heart is starting to weaken. I begged them to do everything to save my brother. Hindi ko kakayanin kung pati siya ay mawala sa akin. 

“ These machines are the remaining instruments thats keeping him alive and breathing. I hate to say this but, please ready yourselves. He's getting tired. Given that his body is still young, it may give up anytime sooner. ”  

The doctor told us. I don't want to lose him, not yet. 

I was sleeping on the couch when this weird sound started beeping. Tinignan ko kaagad ang monitor sa gilid ng kama ni moshi, and there i saw, that his blood pressure is dropping as well as his heart rate. 

Pinapunta ko kaagad si tita at isay to accompany me. I went outside our room and called the doctor. I started tearing up kasabay nang pagbilis ng tibok ng puso ko. 

Is this it? Where it will end? 

Kasabay kong pumasok ang mga nurse at doktor and they started doing their things. Lumalakas na ang pag-iyak ko and i am starting to lose it. 

Not yet. 

Kailangan kong maging matatag at malakas for him. When he was still okay, he cries everytime na nakikita niya akong umiiyak. He lights up every dark path we run into. If he hears me crying right now, he won't like it. 

I wiped my tears and walked towards him. I held his hand and kissed him on his forehead. 

“ Moshi, it's me.. Huwag mo muna ako iiwan ha? Please laban ka.. i love you so much, bunso. Huwag muna, please. We still have lot to do. We're still gonna play with matcha, and kakain pa tayo ng mga favorites mo.. please be okay.. ”  

I saw tita Luna and Isay entered the room. They look so worried. 

Naglakad ako papunta sa kanila and hugged them tightly. “ Tita.. i'm scared.. huwag muna, ” i cried so hard that caused my eyes to look puffy.

Moshi's heart rate went normal after half an hour of his episode. The doctor said that his heart are starting to fail, but thankfully, he made it until now. 

“ He is a strong boy. He's still fighting. ” the doctor smiled before leaving the room. 

After all, he fought a good fight.
