A girl was sitting down. Not doing anything, just sitting down. She slowly stood up off the ground and walked out of the room. She walked into a room where two people, Catherine of Aragon and Sir Thomas More were praying in.

She walked up to Catherine of Aragon and did a curtsey. "Hola Catherine." She said.

Catherine looked up and smiled. "Alice, you may call me Mother." She said. Catherine picked her up, Thomas More bowed. "Grand Princess." He said.

Alice smiled at him and said, "sorry did I interrupt you, sincerest apologies." She said. Sir Thomas said, "it is no problem Grand Princess."

Alice's eyes narrowed slightly. "Please, call me Alice when we are alone without father around." He nodded.

Catherine said, "Alicy, why don't you come with me outside." Alice looked up and said. "Can we play a game?"

Catherine nodded. "Of course we can dear."

Alice got put carefully on the floor again. Catherine took Alice's hand and they began walking. "Cath.. can we see Mae-Mae soon?" Alice asked.

Catherine sighed, "I don't know if we can see Mary, sweetheart." Alice frowned, her icy darkish blue eyes nearly turned a shade of blood red mixed with a metallic golden one. "I always ask father but he always says no, and he never explains why, and then he looks worried and gets Jane to take me away."

Catherine sighed. "I know sweetheart." She said.

"What's happening miss Catherine, I.. I thought marriage is forever.. I know he had me, is it my fault?!"

"No no, alice. It's not your fault, and marriage is forever." Catherine smiled at the young blond haired girl, the blond looked confused and stared blankly at Catherine.

"But.. then why are you divorcing, and why is he now with um.. the Lady Anne? Your lady in waiting.." Alice asked.

Catherine sighed. "Alice, I understand that this is confusing for you, and I wish I could take away that confusion and pain away from you, I really do."

Alice frowned. "Miss Catherine! I don't want you to leave! You're the best step-mother ever, I don't want a new one, I want you! I don't want Anne to be my stepmother.. and also, what's a bastard?"

Catherine frowned and then her eyes widened at the last question. She turned as pale as a ghost. "Where did you hear that word? Did anybody say it to you?" She asked, she bended down and looked her in the eyes. "Please Alice, tell me this is important."

"I heard Lord George Boleyn saying it, he called Mae-Mae a bastard and illegitimate." Alice replied. "He called me a great princess. I don't know why. And, isn't a bastard something bad, when you have a child with someone you aren't married to. Isn't that a sin? Is Mary a bastard? Am.. i a bastard?"
