Few weeks later

"What if it's a girl?" Questioned Imani. Joshua looked over at me, then back at Imani, a cheeky smile plastered on his face.

"Here's what I'm saying. We get twins yeah, Halo and Heaven!" He then suggested excitedly.

Although Imani and I weren't very close, the look we gave each other after he spoke was as if we'd been besties for years. We both shared a confused facial expression before dying of laughter, causing Joshua to screw us.

"Ay low it fam." He chuckled, "them names are cold, you can't lie."

The names were a bit too holy considering these man were only 16, just finishing secondary, and already planning baby names.

Imani pinched her arm to stop herself from laughing. "I'm not having twins, Joshua..." she then sighed.

"Well why the fuck did you not tell me fam!?"

"Nigga it's always been clear. We never say 'our babies' do we? We say 'our baby.'" Remarked Imani. 

"Just shut up, we ain't gonna have a girl anyway." Cried Joshua kissing his teeth. He then stood up, before walking over to Imani, and bending down so he was levelled to her stomach.

"This is my future baller, my baby boy!" He grinned, delicately touching Imani's stomach. "My future son, Bukayooooo!"

"We're not naming him Bukayo! I beg Niyah, tell him!" Imani cried as Joshua and I began to start creasing.

"Some hater fam." Laughed Joshua. "Gotta name him after the goat init." He then kissed Imani's stomach lightly.

It was kind of cute. He was acting like such a good father. Most boys would dip the moment they find out a girls pregnant, especially since Joshua and Imani only fucked because they were horny, and had no intentions of being together.

But Joshua was being bare supportive, helping Imani out. He hadn't told his mum yet, and figured he'd tell her once she left hospital in August, but he had grown very close with Imani's mum, helping the two immensely. He even got a summer job for more money to support their child.

It was so attractive. It just made me like him more.

"Future Arsenal Star! Gonna start training him from young. Mbappe project, you get meeee!" Chimed Joshua. "Jboogz junior yeahhh!"

Imani and I just shook our heads. He looked so stupid lmaooo. He was so confident they were gonna have a son. Had me wanting them to have a daughter just to see the look on his face when he'd find out.

"What if it's actually a girl tho?" I questioned.

"It's gonna be a boy fam. Ahhh Bukayo's gonna be laughing bare when I tell him about this! Bare doubting his gender."

The way Imani both facepalmed in unison had us dying afterwards. He just sounded like a dickhead.

"Shit. I need to buy my fit for the baby shower. Blue Nike tech and that! Should I cop one for you as well, Niyah?" He then asked, as I kissed my teeth. After all this, I was praying it was a girl.

Before I could even answer his stupid question,  our conversation was interrupted by the sound of Joshua's phone ringing. Joshua quickly grabbed his phone, before rolling his eyes in annoyance after reading the name.

"Where's my p's cuz!" Yelled a deep voice into the mic once Joshua had accepted the call.

"I told you fam, I need more time..." responded Joshua in a panicked tone, leaving the room. Imani and I just stared at each other baffed. What the fuck.
