Thunder rang out in the near distance as streaks of lightning pranced about the sky, all the while the Hado residence was especially quiet as Nejire could be seen gazing out of a window her head resting on her hand. Classes had ended some time ago and the girl had swapped out her school uniform for more fitting casual clothing. Nejire's mother who was currently seated on the couch held her head to the side in concern as her eyes hovered over Nejire. Something was troubling her daughter and she wouldn't be able to find out just what was giving her little girl such grief by simply watching from afar. Arising from the couch the woman would make her way over to the contemplative Nejire before taking a seat on a nearby chair.

"Hey mom." Nejire said upon seeing her mom sit next to her.

"What's wrong sweetie? You've been quiet for a long time, is something the matter?  The girls mother would ask as she adopted a worried expression

"Sorry to make you worry mom, I'm fine really look." Nejire said as she flashed one of her trademark smiles.

"You can't fool me Nejire. Don't be shy to say what's wrong sweetie." The woman would say as she clasped her hands together.

Taking a quick glimpse at her mother before directing her eyes back to the window Nejire would sigh as her smile would fade into a frown.

"It's Y/N. He hasn't come back yet and I just have this feeling in my chest that won't go away." Nejire recited as she played with her hair.

Standing up from her chair Nejire's mother would make her way over to the girl before kneeling in front of her and looking her straight into her eyes.

"What do you mean?" The woman inquired.

"Well I feel like I treated Y/N a bit unfairly today, questioning him about things that made him uncomfortable. And it was only after he left that I remembered what today's date was." Nejire stated, her voice staggered.

"His parents death." The mother would say with a curled lip as her gaze unconsciously lowered to the floor.

"And I can't help but feel like he hasn't come home yet, because of me." Nejire muttered with a look of quilt on her face.

"Don't say that sweetie." Her mother would say in rebuttal

"But its tru-"

"No it's not." The woman would say in a stern voice her gaze intensifying.

Peeling away from her mother's extreme gaze Nejire would begin to bite her lip as her belief that she was responsible for Y/N's delay in returning home grew tenfold. Seeing that her daughter's doubts increased after attempts at talking the woman would sigh as she decided to come at the situation from a different angle.

"Nejire look at me. Y/N is a boy that has done nothing but be an absolute joy to you. When others would shun and avoid you, Y/N would stand by your side and cheer you up. That boy is like a brother to you, so I'm sure that whatever you said today at UA didn't affect him negatively in any way shape of form. Heck I'm sure he's making his way home right now as a matter of fact." The woman stated with a wide assuring grin.

However Nejire instead of answering her mother would merely shake her head. Seeing that her speech didn't do much to help console her daughter Nejire's mother proceeded to rub her forehead as she thought up of all the ways she could be of assistance. Yet before she could do just so a series of knocking on the front door would grab her attention, telling Nejire she would be right back the woman would approach the door as she straightened out her dress. Feeling that looked presentable the mother would open the door only to widen in relief as he recognised in a on a second who was standing before. Soaked and dripping with water was none other that Y/N, the hero towered over the woman his much bigger form casting a shadow.
