After dropping the small branches and firesticks she had gathered, Jeongyeon let out a heavy sigh and ran a hand over her face. This survival experience was challenging for her, as she had never been a fan of it. But she didn't want Nayeon to think of her as useless and bratty, who waits for everything to be done and served to her on a silver platter just because she's the successor of her grandfather. However, having watched tons of survival movies and videos on the internet, she had the slightest idea how it was supposed to survive in this kind of situation.
"Jeongyeon-ah, I got some sweet potatoes here," Nayeon shows and informed the short-haired latter, who was now gathering a few rocks along the way.
"Woah, really? Put it in a pot. We'll cook it later, after this." Jeongyeon took a glance at Nayeon and suggested. She created a big ring, just like she had seen on TV, where she was going to put on the fire. She loosely piled a few handfuls of tinder in the center of the fire pit and grabbed the dried firestick.
"Sorry, that's all I've got," Nayeon pouty said as she washed the sweet potatoes on the lake.
"No, actually we need that. It contains a percentage of water and lots of carbohydrates. Don't worry, I'll go to the seashore later, to try and catch a fish for us while we wait for a rescue team to pass by," Jeongyeon explained. She threw the stick to the side and bent down as she blew light breaths at the base of the fire. She added more tinder to it as it grew, watching as it created a blanket of suffocating gray smoke.
"What?! You'll leave me here?!" Nayeon exclaimed, feeling a sense of panic rising within her. Jeongyeon simply hummed in response and shrugged her shoulders. Then, she suddenly sat back on her heels and a smile filled with pride slowly formed on her lips when she succeeded in making fire, despite the small choked coughs that escaped her.
"No! Jeongyeon-ah, take me with you."Nayeon pleaded, causing Jeongyeon to sigh and pause on what she was doing before turning to face the brunette.
"Just stay here so that you won't get tired. Don't worry I won't leave nor die on this island without you." Jeongyeon said before smiling and winking at Nayeon who bit her lip and looked away, suppressing her smile because of what Jeongyeon said.
"Yah! Are you blushing?" Jeongyeon teased.
"Of course not, why would I?" Nayeon replied defensively while rolling her eyes.
"Yes, you are," Jeongyeon said and laughed.
"No! I'm not! Stop assuming. It's just really hot in here," Nayeon replied before standing up and heading straight to the Cabin's kitchen to grab a pot. Jeongyeon shook her head and chuckled as she watched Nayeon leave.
"Yah! Do you know why it's hot in here?" Jeongyeon shouts as her hand fanned the fire that she made.
"Waeyo?"Nayeon asked and shouted back.
"Because I'm here!" Jeongyeon said laughing. Nayeon quickly grabbed the pot and appeared at the cabin door with a look of disbelief on her face.
"You know what, stop talking and cook this. You must be so hungry that you think something like that." Nayeon said which made Jeongyeon burst into laughter.

"While waiting for a rescuer to pass by, I will put up a sign on the seashore indicating that we survived and we are here," Jeongyeon said and took a side glance at the brunette, and started explaining everything she had in mind when she finished finishing up the sharp hunting spear. "But, I'll be back before dark."
