I take a deep breath and wipe the sweat off my brow. The sun is ungodly hot, even with the shade of the trees along the hiking trail.
Mr. Clark took a group of kids fishing while our group went hiking. I wouldn't have minded fishing, seeing I detest hiking, but Anna said she wanted to go on a hike. I'm almost positive it's because James wanted to go hiking.
So, here I am, barely 5 minutes into to the winding trail, panting at the back of the line and in desperate need of a bathroom.
I groan. I can't wait to get back and go swimming. The thought of water reminds me that I have to pee! I groan again.
Alex, who has stayed back with me—probably to make sure his sister's desperately out of shape mentor doesn't drop dead—stops suddenly, causing me to run into him.
He turns around. "Okay, what's wrong?"
I bite my lip feeling embarrassed. "I have to go to the bathroom."
He looks down at my crossed legs and frowns. "We just left."
I shrug.
He shakes his head at me in exasperation before looking back at the rest of the group, which is now at least fifty feet away, oblivious to our halted movements.
"I'll be right back," he says, before jogging effortlessly up to the group.
Alex says something to Paul who looks back at me before nodding at Alex. I blush, suddenly feeling like a little kid. I see Alex pat Paul on the back before running back to me.
"Okay, they're going to go ahead and we'll meet up with them at the next break point. I'll wait here while you go find a spot to relieve yourself."
My eyes widen. "I can't pee out in the open!"
"Yes, you can. I'll keep a lookout."
"But—"
"Do you have to go or not?" he asks, cutting me off.
"Fine," I hiss, walking away. I pause and turn back to him. "Don't even think about peeking!"
He smirks.
I huff off in search of a secluded place. Finding a bush that looks well hidden, I rush behind it. Looking around, I don't see any open places that someone could peek through.
Good enough!
I hop up and down trying to hold it in long enough to get my shorts and panties down. Once I do, I cop a squat and welcome the sweet release.
I sigh in relief.
Oh, thank you God.
Right as I'm finishing up, I hear a loud buzzing sound and shrink back when a bee flies right in my face.
"Eeek!"I swat at it, trying not to fall over.
When it flies out of sight, I think I'm in the clear. That is, until I feel a painful sting—right on my behind.
A scream leaves my mouth as my hand goes to my backside. I rub away the pain while simultaneously looking for the little shit that just did this to me.
"Babbie?" I hear Alex's concerned voice close bye.
I panic and quickly pull my shorts up, right as Alex runs past the bush I'm hiding behind. He sees me out of the corner of his eye and stops.
His face goes from panic to bewilderment. "Why'd you scream?"
I blush. "I got stung by a bee." I absentmindedly rub my backside, and he chokes out a laugh.
"It's not funny!" I pout. "It really hurts."
