Raindrops pattered against the windowpane, a steady rhythm punctuating the heavy silence that enveloped Jimin's bedroom. Propped up against the pillows, Jimin sat with his thoughts, his gaze fixed on the gray world outside. The weight of an unspoken secret hung heavy on his shoulders, a constant companion in the shadows of his mind.
His parents, exchanging worried glances, approached him with hesitant steps. "Jimin, my dear," Hoseok began, "Are you okay?" his voice was soft, as he reached out to him. Jimin managed a weak smile, though it failed to reach his eyes. "Yeah, appa, I'm fine. Just... thinking." Yoongi placed a comforting hand on Jimin's shoulder and said, "We need to talk." Jimin's brow furrowed in confusion, his eyes flickering with worry as he watched his parents exchange glances.
Hoseok took a deep breath, taking a seat beside his son as he searched for the right words. "Well, honey, we've been talking and... we think perhaps it's time for us to seek some help." Upon hearing this Jimin 's expression changed to one with confusion. "Help?" he echoed softly, the word heavy on his tongue.
Hoseok looked at Yoongi, silently asking him to continue, who then spoke up. "After you said us regarding your...regarding what you've been dealing with, we were thinking about it and there might be something, actually someone, who could be of great help to us."
Jimin's eyes widened in surprise, a flicker of hope dancing in their depths. "Help...who? I mean who can help me?" Hoseok hesitated, his fingers twisting nervously in his lap. "It's... someone from my side of the family." Jimin's confusion deepened, "Your family? But...you said you don't have anyone left from your family?"
Hoseok's scent shifted, hinting at a touch of irritation as he spoke, "Yeah unfortunately, there's someone left...my grandma, your great grand mother, is still alive. And we believe she might have some answers." Jimin's mind reeled with disbelief, his thoughts a whirlwind of uncertainty and hope. "I don't understand, but... if you think it'll help, then okay."
Relief washed over Yoongi's face as he spoke, "Okay then, we'll leave first thing in the morning."
"But what about everyone? What will you tell them?", he asked his parents. "Don't worry about that my dear, we'll handle everything. Now get some rest, hm?", Hoseok replied. With a nod, Jimin watched as his parents left the room, their footsteps fading into the distance. Alone once more, he turned back to the window, the rain still falling outside. But now, amidst the gray mist and the gentle patter of raindrops, there was a glimmer of hope—a whisper of possibility that stirred in his soul.
With a newfound resolve, Jim allowed himself to believe that perhaps, there was a chance for him to find the answers he sought.
A new day bought new chances, new chances to find the answers one sought. As Yumi stirred from her restless sleep, her mind buzzing with unanswered questions, she knew she couldn't delay any longer. The burden of misunderstandings among her friends weighed heavily on her mind, compelling her to take action. Today, she vowed, she would seek the truth and mend the bonds that had frayed.
