Back at the house
"How's she doing?"
Ryan sighed as he and River walked into the room. "She finally fell asleep. She's shook. Naturally." River said as he dropped into the chair tiredly.
"You can't blame yourself." Wyatt said as his eyes locked in on Ryan.
"Can't I?"
"I know you. I know how you are. When something happens to any of us, you blame yourself. We all do. It's how we are." The redhead sat back in his chair. "She told me in the car that she was hearing whispering and something touching her. I told her if she needed to talk, she could talk to me. We've got her."
"This...thing.....touched......like actually fucking left bruises.... touched my family." Ryan hissed, his fist clenching subconsciously. "I'm pissed."
"We've been there. We know what to expect." River tried to assure him and watched his twin shut him down.
"Yeah." Ryan shrugged and picked up his headphones. "I'm going to stay up for a while. Edit a little and keep an ear out to see if she wakes up. You two go get some sleep."
They both stood slowly and hesitated in the doorway.
"It's cool. I'll let ya know if I need you."

Riley woke up screaming, the nightmare still in her head. She heard the door open and felt the weight on the bed, her hands fighting before she heard Ryan's voice.
"Riley, wake up. It's me, you're okay."
She stopped fighting, her body shaking as she grabbed at him. "He's here! He was just here!"
Ryan wrapped his arms around his sister, holding her tightly.
"What's going on? What happened?!" River shouted as he and Wyatt ran into the room.
"He's here!" She grabbed at Ryan's shirt as she searched the room.
"Wyatt, grab an EMF......" Ryan said to an already leaving Wyatt as he tried to pry her fingernails off his arm.
"Please.......I'm not crazy......"
"No....no one thinks you are. You're okay."
Wyatt returned, sweeping the device around the room. "Is someone here?"
The device clicked once.
"If there's someone here, you have no permission to be here. You have no permission to hurt Riley or any of us."
The device was silent as Wyatt finished the sweep. He glanced at Ryan and River.
"No one thinks you're crazy." Wyatt tried to assure her.
"He was here. I know it. I felt him."
"What happened?" River asked quietly as he sat on the bed, his hand on his sister's ankle through the blanket.
"I woke up to whispering and turned to see him standing over me. He leaned over me and started pulling on my blanket. His breath was cold." Riley looked around the lit room with wide eyes. "I know he's here! I felt his breath....his hands." She shuddered.
"Get your stuff. You can come downstairs and sleep in my room." River stood and picked up the blanket.
"I'm not going back to sleep." She shook her head furiously.
"Then you can keep me company while I edit."
Riley pulled the blanket from River's hands, walking out of the bedroom across the hall to the office.
Ryan looked at the other two. "I've got some stuff on the edit. It's creepy AF."
"Like what?" Wyatt's quiet voice asked.
"The EVP. The Spirit Talker. The cameras. We didn't have a camera in that small room, not at the angle we needed but you can hear a voice." He glanced towards the door. "It can wait until later. I'm trying hard not to let my emotions hear the words but......it's pretty clear."
"What does it say?" River asked quietly.
"I'm not going to influence you. It can wait until tomorrow....today....whatever." Ryan nodded. "Get some rest. I'll stay up with her."
"I'm up." Wyatt shook his head as they left the bedroom.
Riley let out a soft sigh as she heard their footsteps cross into the office.
"I'm heading back to bed. Ya need anything, sis?"
"No, I'm okay. Sorry about waking you up."
River smirked. "It's okay. I'm sure I've kept you up before." He leaned over to hug her before leaving the room.
Riley watched Wyatt and Ryan as they absorbed themselves into editing before closing her eyes and listening to them type occasionally.
A few minutes into the footage, Wyatt's eyes widened and he picked up a pen, scribbling quickly onto a notepad. He slid it over to Ryan.
EVP at 18:30. Want her. She's mine.
Ryan's eyes slid to the paper. He looked up at Wyatt and nodded once.
Wyatt continued listening and paused the video again.
24:56 11 girls. 26:02 Mine. 26:13 Get out. Growl.
Ryan turned to see if Riley was asleep. He nodded and reached over to slide the video forward to where he and Riley were in the small room.
A few minutes later, Wyatt took off his headphones and exhaled. Picking up the pen again, he hesitated for a long second. He drummed it quietly on the notepad as he thought.
Attachment?
Ryan raised a brow in answer.
