I had a HUGE fear of heights and I dreaded the idea of going onto an air plane, Both because of my fear and the idea of it crashing of course. I knew the chances of that were VERY slim, but it's still a rational fear!

So, When my girlfriend of 6 months asked me to go on a trip with her I sincerely hesitated because it required going onto an airplane..

But I wanted to spend time with her, So of course I agreed to go... Without letting her know my fear because I felt stupid for having it.

So when that day arrived and we were brought to our rather luxurious seats in the first class section I held her hand, Tightly without meaning to. The fear was pretty obvious by now because I had INSISTED she sit on the inside by the window.

She tried to get me to sit there so i could experience the beauty of flying, But that beauty to her was a heart attack for me..

"Babe, You gonna tell me what's going on?" She asks softly looking at me with a raised brow.

I smile sheepishly and naw on my bottom lip.

"Um.. I might have a Small fear of heights and dying in a plane crash" i admit refusing to meet her gaze because I was embarrassed and my cheeks were Bright red now.

She giggles softly and shakes her head a little.

"Babe, You could have told me that. We could have driven instead. It's okay to be scared of things, I have fears too you know" She assures rubbing my hand in soft circles.

I look at her sheepishly

"But it feels like a silly fear" I mumble.

She smiles in a reassuring manner.

"No fear is silly, They are all legitimate. Nobody should make you feel small for having a feat because they are normal. And I promise? If I had known I would have made sure you were prepared for this" She says

She gently leans over and kisses me on the cheek.

Oddly enough? Her comfort helps me feel a little bit better about my fear and being stuck on a plane for the next six hours.

"Thanks Selly, I really love that you're being so sweet and I know that as nervous as I am that I'm gonna be okay because I'm with you" I say softly before giving her a sweet kiss on her lips.

She giggles softly and returns it before squeezing my hand a little.

"Always, Just like I know I'm safe with you" She declares happily.

I blush softly and do my best to focus on her during the flight and admittedly it made it easier. Her and the movies she picked us cuddling during the trip.

It all calmed me down enough to handle the trip.

The take off and landing was the worst part, but once we landed and were safe on the ground I was excited that I did it.

We even celebrated with a cute dinner at our hotel in our room because it was late so we used room service for it.

I knew without Selena I wouldn't have dealt with my fear and I couldn't have been happier about that.
