C-ta's Collapse

"ALRIGHT!" C-ta cheered. "I can finally see A-ya, and all my other friends at school. After a whole week!"

C-ta has had a terrible cold for the last week, and couldn't attend school. He missed the group so much, and was restless, maybe insomniac. How could he sleep knowing A-ya was all alone with a group of all girls? That and, his eyes itched too much to close them. His body would have to shut itself down by force in order to get sleep.

C-ta rushes out the door after getting dressed and eating a quick breakfast. He was told to take it easy after a sickness but he was too excited to slow down, and may-or-may-not have fell over a trash can.

School was a breeze that day. He didn't get any questions from anyone-excluding teachers-concerning his absence, and he didn't even have many assignments to make up for that he couldn't do during lunch. It was easy, anyway, because a few others helped go over lessons he missed.

C-ta rushes down the path to the old school facility, too excited to see A-ya and B-ko, and even D-ne, even if she seemed a little edgy. No, a better word was clingy. Clingy to B-ko. It was a little annoying to see how she is always by her unless it's in a crowded place like the hall. She was her shadow.

"... I guess I can't really judge her, knowing that.."

C-ta slowed down, the thought of comparison between him and her, then stopped. Was there really a difference? He was A-ya's knight in shining armour-Okay, that's a little strange-and she was her most loyal follower. Who wants to bet she'd be dissected for B-ko.

"Hey! C-ta-kun!"

He spun around, seeing Rose trotting towards him. Why is she here? He thought, stepping towards her, smiling.

"Why, if it isn't Rose, the newest girl of the school! What brings you all the way down here?" C-ta asks, using that clever and slightly flirty tone of voice he loved so much.

"Actually, I've come by all week. You were sick though, right? Wait, are you part of the group too? Cool! I wish A-ya could have told me you were. Let's walk together the rest of the way!"

Wait... A-ya?

He let her in? How could he? When was this!? Why would you do something so selfish, A-ya!?! C-ta's world was falling apart inside all at once. What had his childhood friend done? It never occurred to him that a new student would make their way into the group so easily.

He didn't... Even tell her I was there..

"C-ta-kun..? C-ta!!"

The world around him went black, and he was out.

Forgot to mention! The only thing I own in this story is Rose. Maybe the storyline. I don't own the Shuuen No Shiori group, legends mentioned, or anything else.
