You sit staring at the note for a while. "Who was it?" you heard Darren's voice ask after a while. "N-Nobody" you reply. "Yes I may be a douchebag and i may not have seen you for years but you still have that same tone of voice when you are lying Y/N" he says.
You sigh "Darren I said it's nobody. Didn't I tell you to leave anyway?" You ask harshly. "I'm not leavng, Y/N! I'm not an idiot that's gonna let you go again" he says. You sigh again "Please" you say with a choked voice. "Y/N Please just tell me what's wrong" he says "no" you reply.
You both sit in silence for a while and then you hear Darren get up and you hear the kettle boiling a few minutes later along with the smell of coffee. You got up and opened your bedroom door. Darren was stood in your kitchen making two cups of coffee. You walk over to him "leave" you say seriously. He looks at you "i'm no leaving!" he says and then carries on making the coffee.
There was another knocks at your door. Darren looks at it and sighs and heads towards it. "Don't open the door" you said. "What? Why?" He asks and looks at you "Because I said don't" you say. In all honestly you were shit scared of this guy that knew about you and Darren. "Y/N!" You hear Joey's voice call out. Darren sighs and then opens the door when he hears his best friends voice.
"Oh. Darren. Hi" Joey grins "Is Y/N here?" he asks and Darren nods letting him in and also picking up another pink envelope from the floor and putting it on the side. Joey walks in and gives you a hug and then frowns. "Okay. what's happened? I could cut the tension in this room with a knife" he says.
You and Darren look at each other and then at Joey then back at each other. "You gonna tell him or am i?" You ask Darren who just rolls his eyes. "I'm not dating her!" he says loudly and Joey looks at him "dating who?" he asks "Then why are there so many things that say you are Darren? I thought we didn't lie to each other!? Oh wait no, Darren's changed" you shout at him, He just shakes his head.
"Woah" Joey puts his hand on your shoulder "What's going on?" he asks and you tense up "Leave Darren" you say in a monotone voice. "I'm not lying to you" he says and then grabs his jacket "what happened last night meant something to me. I don't lie" he says and then leaves. When he walks out you break down crying into Joey's chest. He carresses your hair and then soothes you "shhh.. shh Y/N it's okay.. it's okay" he says and rubs your arm.
