Recap:
Life couldn't get any better!
Avery's POV
Once we got home Austin and Anderson helped me with setting up the things they bought for me. That took a couple of hours to do. After that, I played with my phone and set up my backpack for tomorrow, since I knew I wouldn't have the time in the morning. Anyway, a little bit later I was listening to music when suddenly my door was slammed open.
"AVERY?! Did you not hear us calling you?! We've been calling you for the past 10 minutes!" Austin yelled. I was frantically shaking my head, with tears rolling down my face. My brothers very rarely raised their voices at me.
"No. I'm sorry Austin, I promise I didn't hear you guys," I told him hoping he believed me. It was then that he noticed the AirPods in my ears, and understanding dawned onto him. He sighed and then lined down chuckling.
"Next time you listen to music make sure it's not too loud that you can't hear us okay, baby," Austin told me. I nodded my head happily.
"Anyway, we were going to have a movie night, so come on let's go downstairs," I nodded my head and followed him down. Once we got downstairs, Asher pulled me onto his lap. I felt him kiss my forehead and ruffle my hair. I whined softly and tried getting away from him but he wouldn't let me. Instead, he wrapped his arms around my waist tightly.
"Please don't mess up my hair, Asher," I whispered to him sweetly. I didn't think he would listen, so you can understand my shock when he actually stopped and smiled down at me. I snuggled into his chest and his chest rumbled from laughing. I looked up at him and pouted. This instantly caused all my brothers to coo at me, making my face red.
After a few minutes, Anderson asked, "Okay god what movie?"
"Nothing scary, and nothing rated R," was all Asher said. I looked up at him, frowning. Even though I hated scary movies, I wanted to prove to my brothers that I could watch one, without having nightmares.
"I want to watch a scary movie. I could watch it," I told him firmly and nodded my head. I wanted to show my brothers that I was a big boy and that I could handle scary stuff.
All I heard was silence for a good 5 minutes before Aidan spoke.
"Are you sure baby boy? We just don't want you to have nightmares. And you've been doing so good with not setting yourself and we don't want you to relapse," he said to me with a softness in his eyes. Even though I understood where he was coming from, I still wanted to prove to them.
"It's okay Aidy, I'll be fine," I told him firmly.
My brothers nodded and then shrugged. "Okay, fine baby bro,". And with that, they put "Insidious" on. I took a deep breath and cuddled closer to my brother. Anderson and Austin came back with popcorn and candy along with drinks for all of us. Wait a sec, when did they even leave to get that stuff? I shook my head, and then just shrugged it off.
"What do you want to eat baby boy?" Asher asked me.
"I don't want to eat anything Ashy," I said while shaking my head. When I said that all my brothers stopped whatever they were doing and just stared at me. In response to that, I buried my face into my brother's side.
Asher looked down at me with concern. It's not normal that I don't eat anything during a movie, so I can see why Asher and the rest of my brothers are concerned.
"Are you okay, Avery?" Austin asked me as he felt my forehead to see if I was warm or not. I quickly shook his hands off of me, "I'm fine guys. Can we just start the movie please?" They all looked at me for one more minute before turning the movie on. Only Asher continued staring at me. He clearly didn't believe me, but when I did nothing else to appease him he also went back to the movie.
