She was taking a break from all the packing she was doing, she going get up but her phone started buzzing.
incoming Facetime call from: jackie🤗❕
She let her phone ring for a few seconds before answering the call.
"Hi." he said shyly.
"Hey." she replied, "Is something wrong?"
"No, no, just- uhm, checking up."
"Oh okay." she said awkwardly. "Um, do you have everything packed?" she asked trying to keep the conversation going.
"Y-yeah uhm, you?"
"Yea..." she says nodding awkwardly, "This feels... weird" she adds
"It really does."
"Do you... wanna talk about?" she sighs
"Do you?"
"I think we kinda have too.. Unless we want the rest of our conversations to this awkward."
"Definitely not." he says laughing a little
"How do we... talk about it?"
"I really don't know." she says looking away from her phone,
"Look, I really like you Jack, but I don't think I'm ready to start dating, at least not yet. I want to take a little time for myself and make sure I'm not just using you as a rebound because I really do care about you."
"I get it. I can wait."
