    "God, It's damn cold." I said rubbing my shoulders. "i'm gonna freeze to death." she said dramatically.

"Well maybe if you dumbass had brought a jacket.." Haylee said making me roll my eye's.

"And didn't get in the water..". Harper added as she played with the sand.

"I was pushed in!" I said defending my self.

"Here." Jack said taking of his dark blue hoodie, "no, no, it's fine, i'll survive."

"You just said you were going to freeze." he said moving the sweater closer to me.

"Well, yeah, but then you'll get cold."

"I'm a man, I can handle it."

I laughed and finally gave in and took the sweater, "Thank you, Jack." I smiled at the boy as he smiled back.

"Aww, h-" Jenna started before I cut her off, "Don't even start, Jenna. Because I will throw you in to that water."

"Sorry." she said putting her hands up.

We talked for a few more minutes while we waited for the fireworks, and somehow we ended up talking about my show, The Summer I Turned Pretty.

"So, Ivy." Haylee smiled, I could tell we was up to something.

"hmm?"

"Is there anything between you and Chris?" she said as Maddy stifled a laugh. "Uh, Hayley. you do kn-" Maddy started before I I nudged her.

"I wanna see we're this goes." I whispered in her ear.

"Nope." I said looking over to Jack who had his jaw clenched.

"Really? You guys seemed really close when I was on set with you." see smirked

"Because we filmed a lot of scenes together?" I said. She was trying to make Jack jealous.

Why? I really don't know.

"Haylee," I said to the girl, "Yes?" she responded.

"You do know that Chris has a girlfriend, right?" I said making her smile drop.

"What?" she said making Maddy start laughing.

"He does?" Jack asked, finally looking in my direction.

"Yup, Isabel. You met her." I said laughing, "Oh." she said.

"Ooh! They're starting the fireworks!" Harper said getting up and grabbing her friends hands dragging them with her.

Everyone got up and walked towards we're you could get a good view of the fire works.

"It's almost time!" Maddy says looking at her phone.

"Are you exited?" Jack asked me as he helped me get up.

"Um, you for the new year? No! I'm not exited at all." I said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes.

"Come on." I smiled as grabbed his hand making him blush and pulled towards the others.

"3!... 2!... 1!..." They shouted in sync, "Happy new year!" They shouted as they all started hugging each other (idk if everyone does this but my fam does 🤷🏻‍♀️)

"Happy new year, Jack." I said leaning and giving him a kiss on the cheek making him flustered, "I- uhm, thanks."

"Thanks?" I laughed at his reaction, "No! I mean, uhm, happy new years." He smiled.

"Uhm i'm gonna go with Haylee and them."

"Oh, right. Um I- i'll go with Mason.. over there.." he said awkwardly making me laugh, "Right.." I smiled at him.
