You were at breaking point. No matter how many times you went over the different papers, all the questions just seemed to mix into one huge blur. None of it made any sense, and you'd barely gotten any sleep. Your PJs were marked with food, notes written in pen covering your hands, your hair a mess. Sat in the living room, surrounded by the piles of paper, you curled up into a ball and began to wail, as you'd cried so much that tears no longer came. Your friend Tom who you were sharing a flat with emerged out of his room, looking sleepy. His smile faded when he saw there state you were in. Bringing over a hot cup of tea, he sat down beside you, bringing you into a hug. "Shhh, don't cry. I know you can do this", he comforted, rubbing your back as you wept onto his shoulder. "I can't. It's too hard. I'll never remember it all", you sniffled, clinging onto him. "That's not true Y/N. You're bright, smart, intelligent. If there's anyone who can do it, it's you", Tom said seriously, giving you a gentle smile. You just shook your head, tossing the papers aside. "I'm not. I can barely remember any of this and this exam is tomorrow. I'm never going to pass it". Before you had chance to throw around any more paper, Tom grabbed your hands, making you focus on him. "Hey, don't say that. Don't ever say it. Don't even think it. You may think that the world is against you right now, and believe me, I know what it feels like. But trust me, you are no alone. You don't have to fight this battle inside your head. You're stronger than you realise, and the world is just waiting for you to see it. And when you do, you'll look back on this and see how far you've come". He took his hand and rested it on your cheek, giving you a gentle kiss on your forehead. "Have faith in yourself Y/N, just as I have faith in you. You can do it, you just have to believe it". Tom stayed with you for the rest of the evening, giving you encouragement and support, as well as a constant supply of tea, smiles and endless hugs. Every so often, as your brow frowned deep in frustration, he would pull you in closer, kiss your forehead and whisper "I believe in you". He always would.
[This goes out as a special imagine for everyone who is doing exams, no matter how big or small. They are stressful and we think that everything is turned against us, even our own minds. But have faith in yourself. You can do it!] x
