«Summer, this is going to be the best party ever!" Faye said excitedly as she placed her arms around Brooks' neck. "Yes! Faye, you're fixing the booze right?" I asked my friend as I cleared the living room of everything valuable. "Summer, has my fake ID ever let you down?" Faye asked as she smirked. "Your ID has failed like a bunch of times," Brook said as she giggled. "Don't worry though, I'll come with her, and I'll bring mine as well," Brook added. "Great." I laughed. "Is it going to be alcohol there!?" my sister said as she revealed herself. "Why are you listening to our conversation freak!" I snapped. "You were talking loud alright!" Sadie said. "I'm so coming to your party. I'll tell mom right now if you don't let me come." Sadie stated. I looked at my 12-year-old sister as I thought about her threat for a moment. "Ugh fine." I caved. "Yes yes yes!"My sister said as she gave me a big hug while I remained stiff. "Can I bring anyone?" She asked. "Hell no, I am not going to have a bunch of twelve-year-olds at my party," I answered. "Fine." She mumbled.

People began coming at about seven. But everyone was there at about eight. Almost everyone. Everyone except for a certain brunette I had invited the day before. The house was packed with drunk seniors. The music was loud. And everyone seemed to have a good time. Except for me. I was getting in my thoughts about last night. Does Maddie think I'm this weird lesbian now?  I thought. I'm not even gay, why did I do that? I'm so weird. My thoughts continued to flow. They were quickly interrupted by a drunk Faye. "Do you think Sebastian and I would make a cute couple?" She screamed in my ear as the music was loud. "Sure." I simply answered. "Are you okay?" Brook said as she appeared from the crowd. "Yeah, I'm just tired.» I smiled falsely to reassure my friend as I fiddled with my red solo cup. "Okay, I'll take care of Faye. Don't worry about it." Brook smiled knowing that something was up. "Looks like someone crashed your party Summer." The cheerleader said, interrupting the conversation. I looked at the front door and my entire mood changed. "No, I invited them." I smiled as I ran to the front door to greet Maddie and her friends. "Hey, Maddie!" I smiled. "Hey." Maddie grinned back at me as her friends went deeper into the house. "So, looks like your sister is having a good time." Maddie laughed as she turned her gaze to my sister trying to talk to some of my friends from the cheerleading team. "Ha, yes, that girl is going to be awful when she's older." I joked as I tried not to stare at the brunette. She smiled. "I've got to find my friends, but I'll see you later." Maddie replied. She walked away. Far into the crowded house.

"Faye drink your water." Brook said to our much too drunk friend puking in the toilet. "I don't think she has time for that." I said, holding her hair away from her face. "Summer, I've got this, go enjoy your party." Brook smiled. "I want to be here." I replied. "No you don't, go." Faye mumbled as she took a short break from puking. "Uh-" "GO" Brook exclaimed. As I walked out of the bathroom I immediately went downstairs, found a group of people, and joined in on their conversation. As I stood there, with some jocks and some cheerleaders, I spotted Maddie. She was sitting with some girl on the sofa. The girl was pretty, she had long dark brown hair, just like Maddie. All my attention immediately turned to Maddie, everything else just seemed so unimportant. The girl moved closer to Maddie. She soon put her arm around her. I felt like crying. But I didn't, I proceeded to find the nearest solo cup, belonging to some jock, I chugged the rest of the liquid in the cup. The jock looked surprised, and gave me a weird look. I looked at him, took my hands on his face and pulled our lips together. His friends started making noise, cheering him on, causing Maddie to turn her attention to us. I looked at her and she looked at me, causing me to stop kissing the random jock. Before I could read the brunettes' emotions, Brook came yelling down the stairs, expressing something I couldn't quite grasp . "What is going on?" I worriedly asked. Brook ran closer to me, and whispered in my ear "Sadie is drunk." She looked at me worriedly as I did the same. "Where is she?" I replied.

Mom was going to kill me.

Brook led me to my drunk little sister, who was sitting on the kitchen counter talking to some random people about something random. As I ran closer to my sister, I could tell that she had been drinking. "Summer, ohh my god, I love you!" Sadie drunkenly said as she spotted me. She jumped down from the kitchen counter and ran over to me, she proceeded to give me a big hug. "Sadie, how much have you had to drink?" I asked my sister as I placed both my hands on her face. "Uhhh, like 3 or 4 cups. Or something." Sadie replied while avoiding eye contact. "Okay then." I said as I tried to think about what I should do. I gently took my sisters' hand and started walking her to her room. Brook followed from behind. "Wait, let me just check one thing before we go in." Brook said as we stood outside Sadies' room. And sure enough. "Oh my god, guys get out!" Brook screamed at two confused teenagers. They quickly put on their clothes and gathered their stuff.  Me and Brook went into the room first when the teenagers had left, we started to check her closet, under her bed. when we were done we signaled my little sister into the room. "Guys I'm not even tired." My sister said as she sat down on her bed. "Sadie go to sleep." I said to my sister. "Please can't i stay." My sister begged. "We're not leaving until you fall asleep." I replied. "Fine, but I'm not going to fall asleep for a long ti-" Sadie mumbled as she closed her eyes. Brook and I stood there for a moment, watching my little sister as she completely fell asleep. Brook and I were about to walk out the door before i realized something. "I can't just have my twelve year old sister sleeping in an unlocked room while a bunch of teenagers are in my house." I whispered to my friend. "Lets lock the then." She replied. "How are we getting out then?" I Questioned. "Uh" Brook thought as she looked at me with a worried expression. We looked around the room trying to come up with solutions. "The window" I whispered trying not to wake my sister. "What?" She whispered back. "There's a ladder outside her window." I suggested. "Are you trying to get us killed Summer." "Come on, lock the door. Close the widow after" I smiled as I opened the window. Happy with my idea, I proceeded to gently climb down the ladder, Brook soon followed. People were outside on my lawn as well, cars were parked in the driveway. Some people were drunkenly crying, some were puking, some were making out. As soon as we were on the ground we ran inside. This night was going awfully, i needed to have some fun.

As we got inside I tried to spot Maddie.  I didn't see her anywhere, so I walked to the kitchen to see if she was there. And sure enough. She was alone, pouring herself a drink. I couldn't see the girl she'd been with before anywhere. I decided to toughen up, and walk up to her. "Hey stranger!" I grinned as I placed myself beside her. "Are you having fun?" I added. "Yeah i am." She smiled. I tried to contain myself, but the alcohol just took over as I said. "So, who was that girl you were talking to, your girlfriend?" I blurted. "What, no. Who was that guy you were kissing, your boyfriend?" She mocked, clearly annoyed. "What, no?" I answered. "Why do you care anyways?" She scoffed. "I don't." I lied. "It kind of seems like you do." Maddie furrowed her eyebrows. "Well, I don't" I crossed my arms. "Alright then." She took her drink and walked away. Why did she get so mad? I thought as I poured myself another drink. I tried not to get the thought of the brunette to occupy my brain again as I continued to party, trying to have some fun.

I succeeded for a long time before I looked around the house, as I danced, and noticed her, standing there. I couldn't control myself, I had to look at her. I looked at her until she looked back at me. I then stopped until I felt her gaze stopping, I then, looked back at her again. She glanced back at me, I couldn't contain myself, and cracked a smile. I'm not sure if it was the alcohol, but i swear I saw her grin back at me. I was totally occupied in my own thoughts until I heard someone yell. "POLICE!".

I freaked out as people started streaming out of the house. I looked at the door, and two policemen stood there, telling everyone that the party was over, and that they needed to get home. Most of the people ran home, but a few stayed back hiding in different rooms. I just stood there. Waiting for everyone to leave. The policemen soon approached me. "Do you know who lives here?" The policemen asked. "Yeah. That would be me." I hesitatingly said. "What's your name?" They continued. "Summer Levine." I replied. "And where are your parents tonight." They looked at me. Before i could answer I saw a drunk Faye coming, running down the stairs. She quickly placed herself beside me. "And who are you Miss?" The police said as they looked confused at Faye. "I'm her mom. Molly Levine. And I approve of this party." Faye smiled thinking that she had fooled the policemen. The policemen just looked at each other. "Faye just go sleep on the couch, I'll handle this." I smiled at my friend. I knew she was trying to help, and she was just the cutest, but she just made it worse. Faye looked at me with a sympathetic look, gave me a big hug, and walked to the couch.  "Miss Levine, we'll contact your mom. Good night." The policemen said as they soon walked out. Oh my god. I really did it this time. This was just the worst night ever. Brook and Faye soon appeared, and helped me throw the rest of the people out. I turned my phone off, I just knew it would be bombarded with phone calls and messages from my mom in a few minutes. Brook and Faye went to sleep on the couch, and i went up to my room. As I was about half way up the stairs, I stopped in my tracks. I placed my hands on my face, as i started to sob uncontrollably. Everything I'd held inside this entire night just came out. I continued to sob as I heard foot steeps at the top of the stairs. I looked up, and were met with forest green eyes. "Do you want me to leave?" She mouthed. I just looked at her, and shook my head. I walked to the top of the stairs, trying to hold in my tears. She opened her arms, and as i reached the top of the stairs I started to sob uncontrollably again, in her arms. We stood there for a moment, and none of us said anything. She broke the hug after a while, and then started to walk me to my room. Her arm was placed on my back. As we got to my room, I walked towards my bed, and soon laid down. "I think I should go." I heard her say. "No don't go!" I yelled as I quickly stood up. "I want you to stay." I said as I looked into her eyes. "Please," I added. She smiled and placed herself on my bed. "What happened tonight?" She asked. I laid down. "Everything just went wrong." I placed my hands on my face. She laid down beside me. "How so?" She asked. "Well, my 12 year old sister got drunk, and the police came." I pulled my blanket over myself. "Oh," she laughed. "It's not funny." I smiled. "It's a little funny." She grinned. "Can you sleep here tonight?" I blurted. She looked confused at first but her confused expression soon turned into a smile. "Sure."
