I woke up the next day, in my bed, and beside me was a sleeping brunette. The memories from last night instantly came rushing in. I grabbed my phone from my nightstand, turned it on, and saw 32 missed calls from my mom. I couldn't be bothered to read the many messages she had sent, I just put my phone back and placed both my hands on my face as I quietly sighed. I gently stood up, trying not to wake Maddie. I gently opened the door, and walked over to the bathroom. I had to wash off the makeup from last night. I was still in last nights' clothes, and I felt disgusting. When i walked back to my room I saw that Maddie had woken up. "Good morning." I signed. "Hey, are you okay?" She asked as she continued to lay in bed. "Yeah, my mom is just pissed." I sat down beside her. "Sucks." Maddie mumbled. "I'm just so tired." I laid down beside her and placed my head on her shoulder. She tilted her head closer to mine. She looked at me and smiled, I gazed back at her. We just laid there for a moment before Brook and Faye came storming into my room. "Summer, are you-" They said before they noticed Maddie. I didn't bother to change my position, I was too tired. "Hey:" Maddie smiled at the two girls, noticing their confusion. "Hey?" Brook replied, Faye just stayed silent. "Is Sadie up?" I asked the girls. "Uh, yeah she's in the living room." Brook answered. I stood up and walked downstairs, leaving the three girls in my room. "Sadie, I'm so sorry about last night." I said as I spotted her. I opened my arms and placed them around my sister who was sitting on the couch. "Sorry? Summer, that was the best night ever." She smiled at me. "Well glad you had fun, mom is going to kill me when she comes home." I laughed. Brook, Faye and Maddie came down the stairs. "Well, I'm not going to say a thing." Sadie continued as she grinned at me. "Looks like your sister isn't that bad nevertheless." Maddie smiled. "No, she's pretty alright." I gave my sister another hug. "I said that Madison could stay." Faye grinned excitedly as she looked at me. "We should clean up." Brook added as she looked around the trashed house. We spent a good hour or so cleaning the house. Everyone helped Maddie, Sadie, Brook and Faye, so it went quicker. Everyone was exhausted when we were done. As everyone sat down in the living room, Faye turned on the TV. "So, what do you guys want to watch?". Before anyone had time to respond, we heard the door open. Everyone froze, knowing who it was. "Summer!" My mom yelled as she came storming into the living room. "Everyone out, now!" Mom furiously yelled. Everyone stood up, and started walking out including me and Sadie. "Summer and Sadie, sit down!" Mom was waiting for everyone to leave as she sat down. "What were you thinking Summer!" Mom yelled as she heard the door close. "And Sadie where were you?!" Mom continued. "Uh, I was at Beccas place." My sister lied. Mom seemed to believe her. "Ugh Summer, I am so furious at you right now. You are grounded." Mom put her hand on her forehead. "For how long?" I quietly asked. "Forever! Now go to your room." Mom yelled. "I'm sorry mom."I apologized before I walked up to my room.
I was trapped in my room for the rest of the weekend. Mom took away my phone and everything. It was a good opportunity to write music and play the guitar, so i guess I was happy about that. As I was playing the guitar in my room, i heard a knock on my window. I shifted my attention towards the widow and smiled. "Omg Maddie" i mouthed as I tried to stay as quiet as possible, while walking towards the window. "I figured you got grounded last night." She smiled as i opened the window. "Why are you here?" I smiled as I asked, confused. "I wanted to see you. See if you are okay." She wanted to see me? I thought. I gave her a hug. "Do you play?" She said, pointing to my guitar. "Yeah." I mumbled as I laid down on my bed. "For how long?" She asked. "I started taking lessons when I was about six." She laid down beside me. "Are you going to go to music school or something?" She smiled. "No, I really want to go to film school." I replied. "What really? Why didn't I know any of those things?" Our eyes are locked. "I don't really go around talking about that stuff." "Why not?" "I don't know, I'm kind of afraid that it won't work out." I answered. 'I haven't even told my mom that I'm considering film school. She would be so mad." I added. "What why?" She said. "Dad is a director in New York. He left us when I was twelve. She would probably think that I am doing it just because of him," I revealed. "You have to tell her" Maddie told me. I just looked at her. "You want to go to art school right?"I asked as I broke the comfortable silence. "You remember," she smiled. "Where?" "I want to go to this one school in California." She answered. 'You're crazy good, you're definitely getting in." I grinned as i moved closer to her. As I looked into her forest green eyes, I didn't even think about it. I quickly closed the gap between our lips. She didn't seem shocked or anything. She leaned into the kiss. She placed both of her hands on my cheeks. What is happening?
