Prologue

"Oh my god" Spencer exhaled softly. I look past Freddie, and turn my eyes to the doors. "Oh my god..." i take a deep breath, "mom?" I feel my heartbeat raise up as I look at her. For a moment I just stare, it's like I can't move for a couple of seconds.

This moment felt like it was taking ages but suddenly I feel scared and I feel mad. "Spencer!" I shout as I turn around, I feel mad at him. "You reached out to her!?" "N-" "I said one thing and you just invi-, why!?" I yell with tears burning behind my eyes and my breath faster than before. Spencer's mouth opens to say something but I already turn around and run away.

"Carly!" I call out as my sister runs away. "You just ruined a beautiful moment" I say to my mother as calm as I possible can, "You never showed one sign of interest in her life and now? after 28 years!?" I'm sure you can hear the frustration trough my voice, trying to stick up for Carly. "I have to go to Carly." I tell my mother. I take a fast walk past my mom and walk into the hall of the venue. "I'll come with you." I hear Freddie say as he follows me into the hall.

Spencer and I look around the hallway, opening up all doors we see. "Where is she?" I ask out loud while moving around the space fastly. "He- Help!" I hear out of the ladies rest room. I run towards it and push the door open "She's here Spence!" I shout to Spencer. "He-He-" I notice how Carly tries to take breaths in between. "shhh I'm here." I tell her as I bend down to take her hands in mine, "breath on my tempo." I tell her. As I start doing a breathing exercise for her the door opens again. "Are you okey?" Spencer asks immediately. "She's hyperventilating" I tell him fast before going on to try and calm Carly down by breathing together.

"Her asthma" Spencer says. I notice Carly nodding. "You haven't-" "it's okey, we're both here, you just have to stand up straight and take a deep breath" I tell Carly. She does what I tell her to do. After a minute Carly is breathing almost normal again. I pull her into an hug "I can't believe your m-" "Why?" Carly cuts me off, pulls back and turns her head to Spencer "why did you!?" There is anger in her voice. "I didn't." He Spencer says fast but soft. "I would never ask her to come.. give me one good reason to do that." He says calmly. Carly drops her shoulders after just a couple of secconds, "there's none." She says. "I'm still confused over here." I say without waiting.

Freddie says it kindly but as he says it I feel the stress coming back. I keep looking at Spencer. "And now?" I ask him. "I don't know kiddo, if you want to spend time with mom it's possible now" Spencer says calmly, "you can choose". I give him a hug, "thank you." I say. I feel how he kisses my head "If you want to talk about it with me, you can.. I'm always there for you" He says. It makes me feel comfortable. "Can we go home?" I ask him as I pull away from his hug. "I think that is the best to do, you can take a shower to calm down." Freddie says. I smile at him, "thank you for calming me down" I say. "Always, my lady" he answers before kissing me. "You two should go now, I'll talk to mom and take Millicent home." Spencer says. "Will you?" I ask. "Sure, I'll be fine." He says. I nod and give him a fast hug. Before Freddie and I grab our stuff and head off home.
